So, now that the final-order-cutoff for issue 1 of IS TED OK? has passed, I guess I'll stop promoting it.

JUST KIDDING.

I'm gonna put together a rad trailer for issue 2 and keep hyping the series.

I'll never apologize for hyping my work.

We're excited to announce our first endorsements of 2026!

All three of these candidates have been endorsed by their local Indivisible groups and members, and all are running in Democratic primaries where voters face a clear choice about the future direction of the Party. 🧵

The core argument here is fine: challenge students in the classroom and you might be surprised at how they respond.

I wish, though, he wouldn’t take shots at the idea we should “meet students where they are at.” I’m not sure he understands what that means.

I mean, he IS referenced a dozen times, but also 37,988 more times
Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.

He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

I know Ricky Martin was there because he's a Puerto Rican icon, but I really appreciated that Bad Bunny made a pointed choice to give a gay man a moment in the spotlight in his vision of America

I do not want to hear the term 'underaged women' ever again.
It is such a gross term.
The word is 'girls' or 'children'.

Of all the easy things you can do to help the environment, conserve water for communities not corporations, not perpetuate scams, support the labor and rights of creators... *not* using generative AI is the fucking easiest. You absolutely deserve to be shamed for using it for image and text creation

Man, the the archetypal shape of that E.T. - Edward Scissorhands story is just the best. An angel visits with us for a time and charges everything with unbearable beauty, but it's too corrosive down here for them to stay.

Every time I go to a comic book convention I see people waiting in line for hours to say hello and get a picture with an old man or woman who spends four minutes drawing on the flyleaf of an old book and writing “to [name].” Nobody would be happier if there was a computer to do a “better” drawing

Very cool thread on Daniel Worden’s book. Daniel is a colleague of mine at RIT, where we both teach comics-related courses, and his impact on the Rochester Indie Comics Expo has been transformative. He’s a real force!
Daniel Worden’s “Petrochemical Fantasies: The Art and Energy of American Comics” was shortlisted for The Charles Hatfield Book Prize from the Comics Studies Society & nominated for an Eisner for Best Academic/Scholarly Work. Worden’s book ties the history comics to the history of fossil fuels. 1/8
