Day 17: Absolute Universe
While Wonder Woman is my favorite Absolute character, Superman has had the most beautiful covers, particularly this one by Jae Lee.

Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth would sure come in handy, but I think would go with the Book of Shadows.

Day 16: Mr. Terrific (J.G. Jones/Lovern Kindzierski)
This is a fantastic cover! Love the circuitry, the spheres, and his pose.

It seems Tom King can’t resist “torturing” even a little girl like Penny who won an art contest to meet Diana in person. Unfortunately, WW’s delayed by villains and imperiled cats. Fortunately, a “Decent Docent” keeps Penny…

Surprise—the story by Al Ewing & Tom Waltz offered up one of my early favorite characters: Hela!
The issue had a good summary of Knull’s back story and then launched into Hela’s games. Rising to the occasion, Knull…

My favorite was the third, Red Claws, by Larry Hama & Dave Wachter. Logan has just escaped from Weapon X and come across an albino wolf and her cubs being hunted. Not many words at first, but terrific story and art.

Day 13: John Timms
He’s an artist whose name I didn’t recognize, but I obviously like his work as his name appeared in my database a LOT!
These DC short story editions are always fun, and I like the playful covers.

It’s a great blend of offbeat story (action/detective/noir/horror) and cool art.
Perhaps Chew: The Omnivore Edition Volume 1, which I picked up last weekend? I’ve heard good things about it, and the person who checked me out said it was their favorite comic.

All I can say is, watch out, Joker. You don’t know who you’re dealing with.
I had to order two covers (on purpose this time).

But then again, I didn’t know that Benjamin Percy would be writing it. So on it goes.
And it’s difficult to resist a Clayton Crain cover.
