Read a few comics as a kid, but the bug didn’t kick in until avoiding studying for college finals—& there was the spinner rack. Eventually burned out by X-Men crossovers and New 52. Dipped a toe in again a few years ago and am feeling the joy again! 🏳️‍🌈
It was very Conan-esque, and I am eagerly awaiting #2.

Jeez, don’t even remember the last time I played pinball.

Wasn’t particularly good at it, but it was fun.

That’s also now on my pick-it-up list.

Every single one of them is good—both story and art.

We haven’t started Season 2 yet, but Season 1 was so good.

The reason it‘s so good is because it is more than a gays-in-the-military storyline (although that is good, and hits home for me). A group bonding to make it through a difficult situation and good character growth are part of the success.

It’s just good storytelling. Hope there is a Season 2.

Had I realized the same person was writing this as Uncanny Valley and Local Man, I would have picked it up sooner.

My memory of who is writing/drawing which series needs a LOT of work. 😉

Thankfully, I bought all three volumes but will have to look for the floppies to catch up!

Of the ones that are complete for the year, I’d say Boots.

However, have a feeling that Pluribus will take the top spot when it finishes.

Speaking for myself, I don’t care whether a movie is “original” or not—just that it is enjoyable regardless of genre.

What is so difficult to understand about that?

I remember finding the Del Rey paperback Oz books back when I was a teenager and was just enthralled.

Never did read the follow-on books by Ruth Plumbly Thompson or the authors who came later.

It was sad, because I started picking up the books with the whole Kevin promotion, and the line was fun, a nice change of pace. And the alternate universes where he married Betty in one and Veronica in another upped the ante.

Then it just all petered out.

Haven’t heard or thought about Munden’s Bar in years!

I wasn’t much of a Grimjack reader, but I did pick up the annual way back when.

As one does in comic books.
