To say this was Dems voting, e.g., to fund ICE paychecks isn't unfair or an exaggeration. It's literally true. That they'd already given up on even trying to do anything about that doesn't change it, it's still in there. This is what constitutional accountability for the power of the purse is for.

People I know will lose healthcare and could barely afford bare minimum as it is. It's not fucking easy to demand we keep fighting when you're fucking sick and hurting and can't get fucking help to feel better. Fuck.
Any deal was going to be something of a loss because that's how legislation works. I don't love this deal, but Dems didn't come away empty-handed, and it's easy for me to demand we keep fighting when I've got a job and enough food.
