Ah, so that's how it would work. Might I suggest North Island-Powell River? Aaron Gunn doesn't deserve to represent Canada.
Yes, a Conservative MP has to resign their seat to trigger a byelection that PP could run in.
When that happens they usually try to pick an ultra-safe seat (so in this case, probably somewhere in Alberta) because yes, losing the byelection would be super embarrassing.
