A couple weeks ago I had kidney donor surgery in a military hospital (my recipient’s family is military). While I was recovering in the ICU I heard a final salute outside in the hallway and it moved me deeply. The nurses in that ICU were some of the most patient and compassionate I’ve ever met.

Alex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him.
