I don't know the status of Porltand. We have 1 org serving as a statewide backbone with an ICE reporting line. What I don't know is the alert system for community rapid response teams.

We also have many La Migra trainings that have been widely attended.
I keep seeing posts going "when ICE comes to MY city, we'll be out in the streets even harder" and man, I get that sentiment but I need everyone to understand that the work in Minneapolis is partly confrontational but MORE IMPORTANTLY aaallll the stuff organized in the background to help neighbors

Minnesotans following and documenting ICE activity here have been detained, pulled out of their cars, hit with chemicals, had agents route them to their homes and take photos. Even after the killings of two observers, they aren't stopping. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Ok, why is Bsky celebrating Dems today?

Is it the Senate budget vote? Did Schumer issue more strongly worded words?

The massive government funding package just failed badly in the Senate, 45-55.

Needed 60.

Zero Democrats voted for it.

SEVEN Republicans opposed it:

Budd
Johnson
Lee
Paul
Moody
Rick Scott
Tuberville

(John Thune switched his vote to no for procedural reasons.)

I think I made a mistake joining the Nonprofit resources and grants FB group. It's a stream of either "how do I start my non-profit" or "how do I get funding now"?

And I wonder at the atocious state of their research skills even with enshitification of Google search.

My periodic reminder, you can also give to trans folks gofundme and here for helping trans folks escape red states. This one helps get people to Pacific NW. Every dollar funds travel, emergency shelter, and essential resources.

These reforms are eerily similar to the ones that didn’t end police brutality.

But made it just palatable enough for people who presume they won’t personally be targeted to go back to looking away.
SCHUMER says Democrats are “united” behind three DHS reforms

1/ End roving patrols; tighten the rules on warrants and require ICE to coordinate with local authorities.

2/ Enforce accountability; a uniform code of conduct.

3/ Require masks off, body cameras on, agents carry ID.

Everyone should be putting up NO ICE NO CPB NO FEDERAL AGENTS GET A JUDICIAL WARRANT OR STAY OUT signs everywhere.
My wife told me she heard at a training she attended that ICE has argued "ALL ARE WELCOME HERE" signs are invitations to enter private spaces and if that don't beat all I don't know what does.

You can direct donations to target aid systems for food, rent, utilities with the Stand with Minnesota directory.

please remember that no matter how many “ICE is losing in MN” articles you read today, there is still a very real, urgent, ongoing crisis in Minnesota.

people need food and they need rent money. that has not changed.
