When ICE shot Marimar Martinez, they didn’t render aid. She got assistance an a nearby auto shop. Employees tried to stop the bleeding and called EMS.
When they shot Renee Nicole Good, they refused to allow an on scene doctor to help her.
When they shot Alex Pretti, they counted the bullet holes.

DHS claimed "Medics provided immediate aid to Pretti." They lied. In truth, a physician entered a sworn affidavit that ICE blocked him from reaching Pretti, and when he finally got there ICE wasn't giving him CPR, but counting bullet holes.

Like that's what opsec means. What thing are you trying to keep secure. Because "openly following federal agents around in a car with a license plate" is uh not a securable activity.

I always frame individual donations as mutual aid, even if it isn't reciprocal. I build a frame for friends from easiest to hardest. The goal is overcome feeling powerless, to act from the privilege of distance, and find a future lane.
I know it doesn't fit theories of mutual aid, but it works.

DHS doesn’t even bother trying to lie well. The man whose skull was shattered told the hospital he’d been struck by ICE officers, an ICE officer told hospital staff the guy “got his sh*t rocked,” then when it became clear how badly he was injured, they claimed he deliberately ran into a wall.

I just mask because of Covid. We have a Mask Bloc here. Disabled have said it makes them safer, and all mask groups have been a center for their participating.
Maybe this about BlackBloc? Is there some radical uptick in masking? I think it sensible when front line Portland for tear gas.

An entire generation of people raised on social media simply do not have an understanding of how the media, protests, and surveillance work.
My hottest take is that masks at protests are cowardly and have done absolutely nothing but make all protests themselves look unserious to neutral parties.

Anyone who is cagey about who they are or what they’re doing, do not trust. Real journalists exist in a kind of social compact where they tell us their role and their rules, they respect our rules, and in exchange for that they get access. Almost all of them are extremely scrupulous about this
