Good piece by @polphilpod.bsky.social at @theunpopulist.net. I think there is something to be said for distinguishing fascism proper from merely illiberal right-populism. And there's no plausible narrow and precise definition of "fascist" that Musk doesn't very obviously meet.
Even by a Strict Definition, Elon Musk Is a Fascist
He is weaponizing Tolkien to promote violence by ‘hard men’ against Asian immigrants

Transition is a practice of self-abolition, and it demonstrates that abolition involves both destroying/ending and building/creating in a way that threatens all ideologies of natural right, of hierarchy and power with a simple gesture of desire and self-knowledge

Folks, Zohran Mamdani—smart guy, reminds me of a young me—you know what he said, I told him, “Zohran, I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna say the shahada,” and he said to me “Mr. President, you should say a third line confirming your belief in the wilayat of Ali,” should we do it folks? Should we say it?

i'll be honest i find the epstien stuff similar to the "constitutional crisis" stuff. like, it just seems rooted in the wrong idea that there are actual mechanisms of accountability that will just automatically kick into effect if certain facts "come to light"

pretty sure only resistance does that

In a major precedent setting move, a Canadian federal judge blocked the deportation of a nonbinary US citizen because the Canadian immigration office failed to adequately assess the conditions for LGBTQ people since Trump took office.

“Huerta is the something more of these immigration raids — not because he’s a union boss, but because he’s a union organizer with ties to both people in power and people in fear.

The coming months will show what happens when those two groups decide, together, that backing down is not an option.”
Commentary: ICE arrested a California union leader. Does Trump understand what that means?
Unions in California are different from many in the U.S. because they are predominately people of color and immigrants. The arrest of a union president in L.A. will likely activate these unions to bec...

🧪 I just saw a specific NSF grant termination letter and it is FUCKING WILD.

The letter said "not subject to appeal", which is a **blatant** violation of NSF's own policies and broader cross-agency regulations (regulation below): www.ecfr.gov/current/titl...

NSF just opened itself up to lawsuit.
