This begins the epic thread of dealing with the wine my father left me. This will probably take me days / weeks.

All wine was stored in in his house in So Cal, either the garage or the non-A/C living room. One bottle stored over the wall oven. 😳
In addition to my local county declaring a state of emergency...

Of course the judge writing the dissent is from Texas. Swear half the state believes this malarkey.
So many insane parts of this dissent, but don’t sleep on Judge Smith running through the list of voting rights lawyers and experts on the case and accusing each of them of being in George Soros’ pocket. electionlawblog.org/wp-content/u...

If you don’t remember a time before the ACA, ask someone who does, or just watch any old episode of ER because preexisting conditions and lifetime maximums reached in the NICU etc were common story lines. In short, it was the bleakest most cutthroat system imaginable any wealthy country ever had.
The moment when 30 million American's received healthcare (2010) The moment when insurance companies had to start covering preexisting conditions, young adults could stay on their family's policy and I could trust that the small print couldn't screw me if I needed serious medical assistance. 🇺🇸

Thread from my Senator on financial files unrelated to today's bill (DOJ).

And Bondi may yet try to play the "ongoing investigation" card cover that 47 instigated with the direction he gave the other day wrt investigating others.
Let me tell you about the other Epstein files the Trump administration is STILL HIDING — records that aren’t affected by the bill Congress passed today.

Just like informing on Jews during the Reich. Only for money.
NEW: a contractor is paying random people $300 to physically track immigrants for ICE. They're given addresses, vehicles, told to monitor the target. That information then goes back up to ICE. These are not licensed private investigators; members of the public

No one ever saved democracy putting profit first.
/4 Anyway, the notion we should be surprised when big corporations do overtly corrupt things is quaint, because megacorps do not acknowledge or understand things like moral or civic responsibility or good citizenship.

They can't stand scrutiny.
It’s time for a NC judge to make Bovino report in daily. Then he’ll move on. Bc he’s weak.

And then a judge in the next target area should continue the trend.

Signs of fall in the PNW: bought mushrooms 3 times in 2 shopping trips getting 4 varieties, all foraged.
Side note: Gotta love it when chanterelle season hits and they're $10-12 a lb. Mushroom everything.

Trump getting elected a few weeks AFTER the Access Hollywood tape dropped was to America’s culture of sexual violence what Sandy Hook was for gun violence—a clear sign that tens of millions of “conservatives” were totally fine with it.
i mean c’mon. the president’s best friend was the most notorious pedo in the country’s history who ran a massive child trafficking ring. every bit of circumstantial evidence we have says that trump was a participant. if this were a criminal trial we’d have enough evidence to compel a plea deal.

Good. Any/everyone in there should have it on public record.
Lest there be any insinuation that Dems spared their own. It would be tough for Kathy Ruemmler—Obama’s WH Counsel from 2011 to mid-2014—to come off looking worse in these docs the committee Dems released. oversightdemocrats.house.gov/sites/evo-su...

About one in three registered voters participated in their local elections throughout Oregon last week. That’s according to preliminary election results from the Oregon Secretary of State’s office.

People need to pressure the Surrender Caucus 8, Schumer. And your own Senators even if they voted no - this is undermining us all.
To be clear, this deal still needs to go through a debate and amendment process and more 60-vote thresholds to pass the Senate, and then it must pass the House. There's still room for constituent pressure.

Imagine you were a union negotiator who did this after you members had been striking for 40 days. You'd be out.

Senate Dem leadership has got to change.

States have got to STEP UP to support those in need.

Thats what unions and union communities do. It's the only way to stay strong.
How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.
November 10, 2025 at 7:06 AM
If I understand this thread (which is about timing for reopening govt) there's another cloture requiring 60 votes to move forward?

People need to light the phone lines for the Surrender Caucus on fire between now and that vote.
Assume it passes, because it’s only 50 votes. File cloture on final passage. That requires a session day intervening, so final cloture vote on final passage would be Thursday. 60 votes for this.

If that passes, another 30 hours of debate happens. Takes us to Friday for final passage in the Senate.

The Surrender Caucus! (h/t to @lawrencegraham.bsky.social for name).

These people sold us out and for nothing! A "promise" of a vote - like Lucy and the football, they never learn!!

Even if they voted it wouldn't win so what was the point?!

Snatching defeat from the jaws of Tuesday's victory.
8 Democrats capitulated, in exchange for NOTHING! You’d think we had just LOST the election on Tuesday, rather than winning a landslide! Spineless cowards!

Here they are:

Cortez Masto
Durbin
Fetterman
Hassan
Kaine
King
Rosen

What are your ideas for House and Senate structure reforms?

House: normalized to lowest pop state, no rep limit (virtual), add DC, Puerto Rico statehood (if they want), Territorial reps can vote.
Senate: 1 - 3 reps per state, rank for population, gdp, & strategic needs (eg resource, border, etc).

Unfortunately many folks (incl Jewish folks) fell for administration's lies about "fighting antisemitism" under guise of free speech and support for Israel.

Cue rude awakening.

People paying attention knew antisemitism was there and tried to warn about neonazis and holocaust deniers.
There’s no daylight between what Candace says here about “the Jews” & what Nazi propagandists & Father Coughlin said about the Jews in the 1930s. Her show is one of the top 5 “conservative” podcasts in the US. She has 5.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 7.3 million followers on X.
