S1E2 of DARK watched. Kinda pleased about the amount of words I need to pause to look up (6 for this episode), kinda mad that I knew all of them before.
Also: I stand by my preference of not binge-watching serious things unless it's a rewatch. So much better for me.

S1E2 of DARK watched. Kinda pleased about the amount of words I need to pause to look up (6 for this episode), kinda mad that I knew all of them before.

Believe in the power of dried chiles! Don't fear the heat if that's what's keeping you from using them; you can use only mild ones and end up with chili with very little to no heat and it'll still be so much better compared to the "just add chili powder from the red-capped jar". #FoodRamblings
I'm pretty sure I started using dried chilis a year or two ago and it is BAFFLING that this information is not more common in recipes online. Just an entirely different dish

For veg or minimal meat chili, I love to add a cup of uncooked red lentils along with the soaked, uncooked beans. They disintegrate in the time it takes to cook the beans in a pressure cooker and you get this super thick, structured chili. Veg chili texture feels wrong without lentils #FoodRamblings

It's a day for recaps of the year, and it comes as no surprise that my 2025 has been greatly defined by this absence of liars in my closest circle.
I am saying goodbye to 2024 not minus one, but minus three cowardly liars in my life. As painful as it has been, I should call 2024 an objectively good year. #UselessReflections

Plain cooked broccoli, chopped; minced garlic, olive oil, lemon, dried cranberries, 2 pieces of candied orange, chopped (tsp of honey/agave ok); pinch of habanero flakes (red pepper flakes ok). Great way to use leftover 🥦 & so good you'll cook it for this on purpose (I just did). #FoodSky

Despite immense amounts of impotence, crying & mourning, 2025 has been a good year for me. I got divorced & the ties that kept me financially dependent from ex (insurance, streaming, phone) were severed, thus $ was a lot on my mind. I made 39% more than what I minutely estimated I needed to live +
