Thou losest labor.
As easy mayst thou the intrenchant air
With thy keen sword impress as make me bleed.
Let fall thy blade on vulnerable crests;
I bear a charmèd life, which must not yield
To Charlie Brown
This is a true prophecy, as true as yours ever were. When the souls rise up in glory, yours shall not be shunned nor sundered, but shall be the prize of the gods’ gardens. Even your darkness shall be treasured then, and all your pain made holy, Charlie Brown.
He dances in light and in shadow and he is a great favorite, Charlie Brown

Much like real Bushido, poster's bushido is a post facto romanticization of an earlier era of uncontrolled conflict, constructed by the inhabitants of a more centralized system to justify their own pretensions.

All else aside the fact that after 4 years of Youngkin the Democrats absolutely destroyed the Republicans should impact your assessment of how successful Youngkin has been.

The basic problem is that Biden winning would have required a vigorous campaign and he clearly couldn't do that.
I do kinda think the notion that Biden was drawing dead in the counterfactual where the party doesn’t knife him has been agreed to by acclaim more than it has been argued

My slogan "No Kings Except Kong" is going over very poorly. I'm sorry, I didn't realize New Yorkers were still traumatized by his 1933 rampage.

Bsky's automod is permanently set to "Ned Flanders." You say "That's stupid" in a reply and you can practically hear the automod going "Okily dokily posterino I'm just gonna put a rude label here because you used the S-word."

My favorite is the Matthew McConaughey ad where he's at a restaurant but the restaurant doesn't use AI so they don't know not to sit him outside while its poring rain and they just bring him random dishes rather than take his order. Yes AI ad, that's problem I run into frequently.
every AI ad is like

“hey gemini, what would i have for lunch?”

and then the phone is like

“sandwich”

and the guy is like

“wow”

The basic lesson is that if the site administration should use bland corporatespeak instead of trying to be Posters. People would still be mad about Singal (justifiably IMO) but there would be a lot less discourse if it communicated as a corporate statement instead of Posting Thru It.
Are people mad at the Bluesky ceo for a real reason or an internet madness reason?

Many years later, as he faced the firing squad, Colonel Aureliano Buendía was to remember that distant afternoon when his father took him to discover ice. Congress has not authorized the use of military force.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Congress has not authorized the use of military force.
why is sentence two in every story not "congress has not authorized the use of military force"

Even ignoring that slave power was aggressively domineering and expansionist this logic makes no sense. Basically any attempt to secede from another country would never win by this logic, you can disprove it by pointing out that America won the Revolution despite not wanting to govern Britain.
so this is what counts as an intellectual for the modern right, huh

Who can forget Spinoza's famous declaration "Facts don't care about your feelings."
By using reason to understand his emotions, the 17th-century philosopher Baruch Spinoza “canceled his cancelers where it really mattered: in his own mind,” Arthur C. Brooks writes. His techniques reveal how to prevent emotional hijack:

I watched the Elijah vs. Ba'al's prophets video and from a purely technical perspective its interesting to see that AI still really struggles to maintain consistency between shots.
