Delighted that Tony Hall has seemingly been taking note of my recommendations regarding BBC board reforms.
Let's get rid of political appointees and, may I suggest, ones with "JK Rowling levels" of anti-trans obsession or similar bigotries.

Pay back your travel expenses Jenkyns!

Reform UK’s Andrea Jenkyns is claiming travel expenses for her job as Mayor of Lincolnshire, why? Because she lives in Yorkshire (despite saying she lives in Lincolnshire on her nomination forms).

The BBC is being closed down by the USA christo-fascist funded ‘Gender Critical’ hate movement.
Given the BBC muzzled all trans voices while platforming every GC arsehole around, we have to wonder where this will go next.

Faith schools in the UK are a problem. As @profaliceroberts.bsky.social says here, every child deserves the chance to explore the world through evidence and reason. But the divisive and discriminatory nature of faith schools is failing thousands of children. 🧵

This feels like a reasonable time to share an article from The Telegraph from 2023, which certainly makes it seem that Matt Hancock knew that I was interviewed to appear on BBC Question Time (how?) and seemed to attempt to intervene to prevent my appearance.

Should politicians…

These threats are grim, disgusting and unacceptable.

They’re really common among anti-trans obsessives.

Which is why they were banned so often from social networks. It wasn’t censorship, it was standards.

Removing those rules has only emboldened hate:

Robbie "GB News" Gibb wants to save the BBC from itself, like he wanted to save the UK from itself with Brexit.
‘Gibb’s supporters say he is trying to save the BBC from itself; he was also heard last year to say that if he didn’t get his way, he would “blow the place up”.’

Incredible that Robbie Gibb - most influential person on BBC board by many accounts and from journalists I speak in BBC - was involved in setting up GB News.

GB News of course has breached Ofcom rules on *multiple* occasions - no sign of resignations though

I am of the firm opinion that “gender-critical” transphobia is fascism. And not just “fascism adjacent” or “fascist enabling” but fascism front & centre.

Owning slaves, invading other peoples’ countries and starving people to death are not “contentious”, they are fascism.

BBC Board member Robbie Gibb who helped set up GB News?

How on earth was that ever allowed to happen?
www.bbc.com/news/live/cd...

Neither is any loss and particularly to BBC News, where the influence of Robbie Gibb has been catastrophic, destroying its journalistic reputation.
The chances of whomever succeeds them not also being right-wingers and continuing the destruction is minimal.

You have to wonder how so many of these people pushing for the Supreme Court ruling missed the obvious outcome that they themselves had previously identified.

It was all about personal ego and conservative ideology, nothing about protecting women.
Guess it didn’t, Jo. 😏🤣

This overreach has the potential to fatally expose Gender Criticalism for what it *really* is, if enough cis women are publicly harassed because of the SC ruling and discrimination cases are brought.
