Ok, Amy and I need an answer:

Growing up we were taught math.

Our children were taught new math.

For 100 points:

1) What is the name of the math taught now? New New math or new math or ?

2) What is the math taught in the 20th century called now? Old math, math, or ?

Have you ever wanted something so badly, but you've always held back? Sometimes you need to take that step. You don't know exactly how you'll get there and when, but you have overcome inertia and you're taking control of your future.

Two anniversaries today:
2019 I traveled to Florida to meet my internet friend Amy who was going to have surgery. We had a lovely platonic weekend of eating, shopping, cooking, talking.

2024 Amy and I flew to Chicago to rent a place to escape Floridian prejudice and see Jillian & Scarlett.

It's a fresh week, and I have two new slots open in the Trans Emergency Meal Fund. Can I buy your lunch today?

A lovely thread fot T folk
There’s a thing about being trans and passing that seems to perplex new trans folk and did me, too, way back when. That older folk before me seemed less fussed about passing. It didn’t make sense - like, why bother? And I’ve only been able to put it into words recently. 🧵

Whittie Kittie is most precious! He's taken to @captnamy.bsky.social and me a but less so, so far. And that's on his first night!
STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING AND LOOK AT THIS SWEET BOY

This is Whittaker. We met him at the rescue today. He was looking for his people.

He's found them! We just brought him home (I cried). He's the best boy ever and now he has a forever home.

What is the dividing line between looking to achieve and looking to show one is worthy of praise/love/respect/being good enough??
I think I was polyanna on it all rather than an overachiever.

"Presidential themed balls" are the source of all our troubles, when you get down to it
New: A site licensing Trump's name is selling merch with the presidential seal — including a $20 beer-pong set with “Presidential themed balls.”

Federal law says you can’t manufacture or sell likenesses of the seal without authorization.

me, for @forbes.com

I've been running this code on my @adafruit.com Fruit Jam for a few days and I like it much better that the Fruit Jam-286 emulator as it displays 640x480 text rather than 320x240. Charlie has been a champ at builds with no FJ hardware in hand. I think the @raspberrypi.com RP2350 is working great.
...and because everyone is obviously wondering how fast my vastly overclocked @pimoroni.com Pico Plus 2 boots windows 95:

I knew so many people like this going to university.

I was a bit different. I first went to a liberal arts college in a 5 year program with a top university. I did all the basics at the college & got engaged at the end. Then two years in university I had a fiancé then a wife.

They were so jealous.

Everyone know I'm trans.

They call me ma'am. Use she & her.

Acceptance isn't that hard.
