People are supposed to help each other. It's the only job worth doing, and we could probably do it a lot more efficiently.

he/him or they/them.

Nice touch - the trans announcer from the subway (“Stand clear of the platform edge”) is doing the announcing

It’s cool how Lyman positioned himself for years as a moderate Christian conservative. A great encapsulation for this entire ecosystem of thinkers in one guy. All of them are Nazis and deserve the fate of one.
I was wondering why their is so much random racist discourse on Somalis on the TL rn but oh it’s election season for governor rn lol

There are only about 14 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States.

There are 53.3 million *total* foreign-born, including permanent residents & naturalized citizens.

But 100 million is close to the exact number of people in the US who identify as nonwhite (95 million).

here's a thing about pronouncing people's names correctly:

if you are able to pronounce the "h" in "white" (more-phonetically spelled "hwəɪt"), then you *definitely* have the ability to pronounce the "h" in zohran (zo·hran)

It's cool to know you an do an exacutive order to undo all prior executive orders... Just a thing I am thinking about
I was wondering what Mamdani's first executive order would be, and I'm not disappointed by this.

He has wiped off the books EVERY Eric Adams executive order issued on or after September 26, 2024, the day Adams was indicted on federal bribery charges.

Mamdani: I have been told that this is the occasion to reset expectations, that I should use this opportunity to encourage the people of New York to ask for little and expect even less. I will do no such thing. The only expectation I seek to reset is that of small expectations.

HE'S SHOWING YOU HOW TO DO IT. HE'S GIVING YOU THE BLUEPRINT!! AND HES SHOWING US WE DON'T HAVE TO ACCEPT ANYTHING LESS THAN EXACTLY THIS
Mayor Mamdani has nullified every executive order issued by Eric Adams after he struck his corrupt bargain with Trump to secure dismissal of the indictment against him.

As I've said, racism prevents people from accepting that NYC is one of the safest places in the US from the perspective of violent crime.

I've also seen folks post that Alabama has ~717 homicides with a population 3.5 million less than NYC. I'll add: AL's murder rate for white victims is 4X NYC's.🤡
A remarkable trend that will come as a shock to you if your only info about NYC is from this Fox News.

Homicides in NYC...
1990: 2,262
1993: 1,927
1998: 629
2001: 649
2013: 335
2019: 320
2021: 488
2024: 382
2025 (as of 12/28): 302

A motorcade of taxis. Yellow cab drivers adore Zohran Mamdani like a brother. He spent 45 days camped outside of City Hall with them. He took all of his meetings and calls from the protest site. And, spent 15 days on a water-only hunger strike with them. They won and saved lives.
Mamdani arrives to his mayoral inauguration at City Hall in a motorcade of NYC taxi cabs—workers he went on hunger strike with in 2021.

Not to this extreme level. No other country does it even 3/5ths as badly as we do.🤡

"Black political power doesn't really count!" is built into our systems of government.

The restricting of urban centers' political power is required to keep US racism going.
Do other countries have this weird notion that you’re not a “real” representative of the nation if you live in an urban center? Like do the French say Parisians aren’t really French? Are you considered not a real German if you live in Berlin? Or is this mainly a weird American thing?

Some people are claiming to be anti-gen-a.i. for some uses but not others.

That's moot, because as long as gen-a.i. hardware remains operational, its use will be forced in all areas, including ones where you're "anti-". Because money.

It all stays, or it all gets dismantled. There is no middle.

...the person setting US immigration policy literally has a SPLC warning page, and was one of the policy minds behind "peaceful ethnic cleansing?"

They accept it.

They say explicitly that if US GDP gets cut in half but 100% is white owned, that would be preferable to GDP doubling, but much of that wealth being owned by Asian people
The incel Nazi trolls who posted this would also do well to google "critical mass" and try to figure out what would happen to America's food supply, healthcare system and transportation network if 100 million people were suddenly removed.

Making cars pay the full cost of their negative externalities is not "taking them away." Car culture has been massively subsidized for a century. The automobile-highway-sprawl complex is one of the biggest corporate welfare industries in America.
Taking away our cars can, should, and will be treated as a declaration of war upon rural America.
I find "America isn't really set up for it" to be an annoying rebuttal to any sort of proposal to reduce car dependency. Our leaders used policy to create a system of car dependency and we can sure as hell use policy to undo that. There are absolutely barriers, but do nothing is not a solution.
