I know it’s vulgar to bring up George Orwell vibes but way to consider the country you lead to be Airstrip One without stating that you consider the country you lead to be Airstrip One.
Starmer asked to respond to Trump breaking international law and seizing the leader of another sovereign nation replies that it is his "responsibility" to have a good relationship with the US President.

"I have stepped up that responsibility [and] I do get on with President Trump," he tells the BBC

It’s just a weird take for Starmer because two years ago he was very, very definite that Israel had the right to cut off Palestinian electricity and water. As he’s so good at international law, why doesn’t he just tell us what it is now?
Starmer being as Starmer as you can possibly be

Good to know we are establishing the facts before deciding whether we have always been at war with Oceania.

It’s amazing how her position is basically identical to Starmer just with added harrumphing.
Badenoch has a remarkable ability to be rebarbative in any context. The first sentence here is totally unnecessary.

WHEEEEEEE!
YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE.

in 45 minutes the earth hits perihelion. This is the closest point it approaches the sun.

That means it will be going the fastest it goes in its orbit.

In honour of this, today is designated SPEED DAY.

Guys, is the cyclops going to be historically accurate in this movie? I really need to know or I’m not watching it. What about the whole firing an arrow through 12 axe heads? That had better based on actual physics or I’m gonna be so mad! Also, is the underworld an actual place or…?

Ever since the first look at Matt Damon as Odysseus was revealed, Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of The Odyssey has faced questions about its historical accuracy. Now, the debut of its trailer has reinvigorated that debate. https://t.co/ww4vRRxNfY

Perhaps now people will stop wishcasting about the US military refusing illegal orders. That's not a thing that happens. The 100% compliance rate with using civilian boats for target practice was a bit of a tell.

It is wild to me why American cartoonists always insist on undermining their imagery by labelling everything. This would be so much more powerful without them.

"Maduro is a brutal authoritarian dictator," I wisely intone, as the corrupt demented paedophile US President violating Constitutional Law while operating a gestapo and concentration camps illegally arrests a foreign leader on charges which read like they were written on a paper placemat in crayon.

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts.

Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Nigel Farage expresses support for Trump's "unorthodox" breach of international law - on grounds that they may "make China and Russia think twice"

But the main impact on Russia and China will be to help them to legitimise aggression in cases like Ukraine and Taiwan, citing Trump/US as analogous.
