Let us not forget that Catherine O'Hara was hired for "Saturday Night Live," spent a week there, decided it sucked, quit, and went back to Canada to make more shows with her friends.

Yep! Data consistently show voters still trust Republicans on immigration. Voters only approve of Trump's border security policy and literally nothing else.
People are conflating the negative polls reflecting opposition to ICE/CBP goon squads disrupting US cities with a massive shift towards more lenient immigration & border policies that's basically wishcasting. This will matter more in 2028 than 2026.

every Signal chat of laypeople is losing their minds over the wildest opsec advice imaginable and every Signal chat of security professionals is like “dude wtf”

This is why I have real fucking problem with blithe criticisms of "polarization" or "congressional dysfunction." We have a Republican member blaming his colleague for being attacked.

The problem isn't polarization or dysfunction. It's the Republican Party.

12 months of MAHA:

Our last foodborne botulism outbreak hasn’t been resolved yet & now one of the only affordable sources of lean protein is a botulism risk, too; measles cases are exploding, even tuberculosis is on the rise. And they’re still trying to deregulate more.

Maybe expertise did matter…

Tri-Union Seafoods initiated the recall after a distributor mistakenly shipped quarantined cans, which were first recalled last February.

I was not vaccinated as a child because of a parent’s religious beliefs and I was never told. I only found out because the college I went to required proof of vaccination to live in the dorms.

If a person is medically capable of getting vaccinated, they should be. Full stop.
Treating children as property of their parents is not public health as I understand it. But is the MAHA/MAGA position, as they roll back decades of progress

If it is so great, why does it require conscription to survive?
Telling me I'm going to get left behind is not going to change those things from being true.

I don't need to go along with everything. There's a lot of stuff I've been left behind on and I'm okay with that

You might think from the headline that this is a story about a trans kid suffering medical consequences from a large drug dose but nope! It is just an interview with an estranged father who is angry that his child happily transitioned.

Celebrity chefs told Californians that PFAS-coated pans were “safe,” and successfully lobbied Gavin Newsom to veto a bill phasing them out

They didn’t mention they all sell PFAS-coated pans.

New joint investigation with @mirandagreen.bsky.social and @atmosmag.bsky.social is out:
Why are famous chefs fighting PFAS bans?
The answer, in retrospect, is obvious—and it’s part of a larger campaign to stop bans on Teflon cookware nationwide.
