Covid is rampant right now so please get the newest booster if you haven't yet. I have multiple friends and a neighbor with covid right now. The pharmacist might still ask in person if you're high risk (I wasn't asked, my partner was) but you don't have to give details or proof and just say yes.
To clarify: you currently do not need to say WHY or HOW you qualify for each vaccine if you schedule online at a CVS or a Walgreens. You just tick a box and they trust you. The pharmacist administering the shot won’t ask either

Autism does not need to be cured! It's the rest of society that needs to be more accommodating!! Neurodivergence and disabilities cause suffering only because we have so little understanding or support. Treating it as something "broken" or "wrong" only enforces that, please just help people instead.

i have really come to believe that this — treating the public like its too stupid to understand anything complex — is one of our big problems.
Savvy operative types in DC truly believed then and believe now that average Americans are too dumb to understand how government works or why it exists. Educating and defending the Corporation for Public Broadcasting—with its profound impact on people for negligible taxpayer cost—was a layup.

I’d say that @stephencolbert.bsky.social is (with the lone exception of @maddow.msnbc.com) the most brilliant, humane person I’ve encountered in broadcasting. His mind works faster than anyone else’s at a level of sophistication that is unmatchable. Genuinely a generational talent.
