A psychiatrist on YouTube asked "should you detox your dopamine?" I thought it was a strange question, but if he's asking it, I figured some kind of protocol must be making the rounds on sm. Before you attempt to manipulate any of your neurochemicals, please watch this.

Reminder to those who need it:

1. You can mute the name of the current president and/or anyone else you don't want to constantly hear about here

2. You can mute/block/unfollow accounts that impinge on your calm

3. Social media doesn't have to be a doom scroll, curate your feed to make you happy

Planet parade info! ⤵️🔭🧪

(If you're in the S. Hemisphere, read NW for SW and reverse the Moon emojis 🙂)
Keep your eyes open for lots of #planets in the night sky over the next several weeks (not just tonight)!

Venus 🌟 and Saturn 🪐 are in the SW at sunset.
Jupiter 👑 and Mars 🔴 are rising in the east at dusk and up all night.

All are easy to see, and Saturn & Jupiter look great through binoculars!

It’s impossible to build a comprehensive taxonomy of paranormal, pseudoscientific, fringe, & conspiratorial claims (etc!). It’s a vast ecosystem in constant roiling motion, subdividing, mutating, hybridizing, speciating… umbrella categories (“alternative medicine”) are useful but hand-wavingly broad

Next time I’m asked how my thesis is coming along I’m just going show this picture.
If this were a patient's home someone would be saying the paper content is a fire hazard; as it's the NY Review of Books Offices it's an expression of high intellect. And I love it.
