All the snow that fell yesterday is already gone.

As I type this, Oggers sleeps in his basket by the window, completely unbothered by this fact.

You pay fuel duty. Why don’t billionaires?

This week, we launched WeWingAnyCar.com to help you qualify for the same tax breaks that private jets get.

Because tax loopholes shouldn’t just be for billionaires.

They’re for everyone.

And so they were taken from the palace and sent far away to the Castle in the Air, and they have not been seen since. That is why today, in all this land, there is neither Rhyme nor Reason.

First significant snow of late wetly clings to all the flora outside. (It's 24°F/-4°C.)

If the meds I just took help my eyes stop watering and halt my need to continue to use up a new box of tissues, I will try to put some decent AltTxt together in the hope of posting a pic I took earlier today.

Under the Big Ugly Bill, Alphabet gets $17.9B in tax breaks. That could pay for SNAP benefits for 7.5 million Americans.

Amazon gets $15.7B. That could lower ACA premiums for 2.4 million people.

Microsoft gets $12.5B. That could cover Medicaid for 3.8 million children.

Yet another example that no journalist should ever believe a single thing that comes out of this adminstration.

Relatedly, it's really not great that we are watching this administration claim anyone and everyone is a terrorist at the same that they're blowing up boats in the Caribbean Sea.
NEW: @propublica.org investigated the Chicago apartment raid where kids were zip-tied and citizens detained for hours. They find:

- NONE of the arrested were criminally charged
- NO evidence the building was "filled with TdA terrorists."
- ZERO legitimate reason for DHS to rappel from a Blackhawk.

Neighbor could not get anyone to come today to move the fallen fence that was still blocking our driveway.

So I thought the best way to deal with it was just put on dirty work clothes and get it done.

Sometimes, it's what one has to do.

(Totally worth it!)

Flurries again.

Hope tomorrow is a bit warmer for a local street tree feeding volunteer effort. Time will tell.

Important thread for authors about the Anthropic class action and scammers.
Authors, Beware! There's a firm called "ClaimsHero" doing aggressive social media outreach claiming to
"help" you file to get $ in the Anthropic class action. In fact, it's a bait-and-switch, they are luring authors to sign up with them, then OPTING THEM OUT of the class action so they'll get zilch.

We are Fortune's Fools. Winds just blew down what remained of our neighbor's old wood stockade fence into our driveway.

Had spouse's car we just bought a few months ago been there...I don't even want to think about having to make that phone call to our insurance.

The weather reports scrubbed all mentions of snow, but I've been seeing super light flurries this morn, though nothing is sticking.

Given the multi faceted economic downward spiral in America, I wonder how many folks won't be putting out seed/suet/etc. for the birds this year.
