Delighted to announce that 48th Ward Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth has endorsed my campaign! I look forward to working with her and elected officials across levels of government to make Cook County safe and affordable for all who call it home.

We cannot afford the cede the Cook County Assessor’s office to MAGA donors.

This is why we proudly support @fritzforassessor.bsky.social
Money talks.

When politicians like Pat Hynes take tens of thousands of dollars from MAGA, and even more from property tax lawyers who profit when your taxes go up, it tells you everything you need to know: He’s not on your side.

Thanks the endorsement, @stephanieskora.bsky.social!Appreciate you covering this race. It comes down to whether the property tax system works for homeowners or donors and special interests.

This office used to be one of the most corrupt in the nation — we can't go back.

One of the MANY reasons we endorsed Fritz Kaegi (@fritzforassessor.bsky.social) in the March 17th primary election is because we simply cannot afford to cede control of the Assessors office to wealthy MAGA trolls who support state sponsored violence in our streets.
My opponent, Pat Hynes, took $25,000 from a MAGA Trump donor whose family cheered when ICE killed Alex Pretti.

The Loquercios has given $372,000+ to Trump, McConnell, Graham, and others.

Democrats shouldn't take money from MAGA donors or people who celebrate murder. Return it.

Patrick Hynes, who is running for Cook County Assessor, took money from members of the MAGA Loquercio family that publicly cheered on the death of Alex Pretti.

The days may be getting longer, but the time until the March 17th election is only getting shorter.

Check out what I was up to this last week, and don’t miss your chance to volunteer before the election.

Thank you @indivisiblels.bsky.social for this endorsement! I come from organizing, and I’ve spent years working alongside @indivisible.org groups across Illinois, so this support means a lot to me. At this moment, we need Democrats to fight harder and organize relentlessly for the future we deserve.

On Thursday January 29 members of the Indivisible Lincoln Square steering committee met to vote on proposed endorsements in Chicago’s upcoming primary elections for March 17.

We do not endorse in every race and we only endorsed in races that touch our broader geographical boundaries.

Drake is a renter who wants to reduce the housing shortage and get housing prices to go down by becoming a full time Cook County commissioner.

They certainly get paid enough to make representing you full time but it’s not the case for all commissioners!

We are going to win.

Abolish ICE.
It's near-white out conditions in Chicago as the snow comes down, and tonight's anti-ICE/CBP rally is wrapping up in front of city hall.

But not before the crowd bounces and chants, "I believe that we will win!"

Being nostalgic for the days of NCLB reform is like wistfully saying, “You remember how, right after we stepped off that cliff, there was a moment that felt kind of like weightless floating? I wish we could go back to that.”

For the umpteenth time, Brian nails it. House Dem Leadership screwed up big last week. This isn't "I told ya so." There should be some real reflection within the Dem Caucus about the systemic error in judgement that dismissed all efforts aimed at getting them to make the right call last week.
The murder of Alex Pretti might prove to be a political turning point for the GOP. It should be a turning point for Dems, too. For the current leadership, and the consultant-industrial complex, which just fatally endangered the careers of seven members who chose to put morality last.
A Failure In Plain Sight
Who, if anyone, will acknowledge the obvious, and do something about it?

The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.”

The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.

The altnps account is the 13th most followed account on Bluesky and has more followers than every single news outlet other than the NYT, NPR and Meidas Touch on here. They actively spread misinformation and exploit gullible old people for cash. Accounts this unethical do not deserve to exist.
Completely insane. AltNPS claimed to know the name of Alex Pretti's killer, refused to say it because "the truth always comes out," and then just deleted the post.

A man was executed on the street in my hometown, and AltNPS is using that as an excuse to vaguepost for attention.
