My milkshake brings (3D6 + milkshaker's level) boys to the yard. For each soy milk in inventory, an extra 1D3 soy boys may be brought to the yard. My milkshake can be used when not in a yard, but only a fixed 1D4 boys will be brought, with no milkshaker's level-based adjustment.

If you ever fall in love with an arcade game that doesn't fit into one of the small handful of existing big genres, prepare to spend the rest of your days being frustrated about the fact that nobody will ever make a successor to it or develop it in any way

This is so Steam Frame can run Quest games with minimal effort, it seems (www.gamesindustry.biz/steams-new-v...). Although some people don't want this, I'd like to see Steam support Android installs via the mobile client for games with Android ports. @itch.io already supports this, so it's not crazy

If Steam Frame can run most Steam VR games and is standalone, it means it's a significant upgrade in compute compared to Steamdeck, right? I wonder why they wouldn't also release a Steamdeck update. Even if the cost is higher, they could call it Steamdeck Pro if it runs modern AAA games at 60

YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT! I HAVE WRITTEN A NEW ARTICLE!

this one's a bit weird; rather than doing my usual "trying to organize my thoughts and building a winding case that builds on itself," I decided to show you what my EARLY article creation process looks like:

docseuss.medium.com/some-loosely...
some loosely organized thoughts about dialogue sysin games
think of this as me trying to find out what parts of dialogue choices are load bearing game design and what else can be done with dialogue.

I'm still being asked about it, so here goes:
I'm referring to mobile games by Fountainhead Entertainment/id Mobile between 2005 and 2010. All simple, but fun Dungeon Crawler-style games:
- Doom RPG
- Orcs & Elves
- Orcs & Elves II
- Wolfenstein RPG
- Doom II RPG
Seriously, there need to be more of these Dungeon Crawler-lite games than the five titles John Carmack produced.

Holy shit is this ever true. I had a colleague in one place who tried to fire people who talked about how much their bonus was. I managed to lie down in front of the bus and make that not happen, because even in the USA that’s illegal.
Companies like Rockstar rely on individual employees not knowing exactly what their collegues are being paid. What payrise or condition changes they got after a complaint or negotiation.

They always scream blue murder and panic when people start being open about it.
