This is the Tufts PhD student who seized by masked agents on the street and jailed for two months because she wrote an op-ed calling for the school to divest from Israel.
BREAKING: A federal judge ordered the government to restore Rümeysa Öztürk's SEVIS student record after it was wrongfully terminated in retaliation for exercising her freedom of speech.

This allows her to fully engage with the opportunities of her PhD program.

A major problem in the country is that for years, regular people have actually been made to feel and have sometimes been told to leave "THE LAW" to the "professionals I.e. THE LAWYERS" and that was always ridiculous for multiple reasons. But it succeeded in distancing regular people from organizing.

Weird situation. AI adoption in the work world is stagnating, while higher-ed institutions are rushing to embrace it so that students will be prepared for…the work world?
“we estimate employment-weighted share of Americans using AI at work has fallen by a percentage point & now sits at 11%. Adoption has fallen sharply at the largest businesses, those employing +250 people. 3 yrs into the genAI wave, demand looks surprisingly flimsy” www.economist.com/finance-and-...
Investors expect AI use to soar. That’s not happening

If universities would prioritize smaller classes and fewer bells and whistles like third-party technology contracts, a significantly bigger number of PhDs would find a position in higher education.

One time I was driving around listening to our local college radio station and they played something that made me think yes, this is the kind of super-weird avant-garde local stuff they should play on a college station. It turned out it was Fiona Apple.

Those claiming Dems should retreat on racial justice aren't hard-headed realists, they're pushing against the electoral tide rather than leaning into it. The story of Gen Z isn't about racist backlash or red-pilled young men. It's the most racially progressive generation in American history. 🧵

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.

There's no question that the @nytimes.com has ACTUALLY openly campaigned against Mamdani. Everyone in the city saw it. Why would they be trusted to report honestly on anything if he wins? The answer is they would not.
