The constitution does not ban cellphone tracking.

The constitution makes this harder to do by placing safeguards in place under the right to due process, but this DOES NOT stop LEOs from attempting to weaponize the BUILT IN tracking in cellphones and other devices under in an "emergency."
good news the constitution already abolished this

bad news ice doesnt give a shit

maybe relatedly, dental offices are an absolute hotbed of employment law violations. it's wild. you've got handsy dentists. you've got constant pregnancy discrimination because everyone who works there is a woman under 35.

can't tell you how many cases we've had against dental offices.
total side note has anyone ever noticed that seemingly everyone who works in dentistry is like jaw-droppingly attractive? what the hell is up with that. my dentist looks like he could be an actor and all of the assistants look like models. what do they have in the fluoride???

Democratic candidates should make clear that their Attorney General will reopen all of these cases and prosecute each and every one of them as first-degree murders. Because that’s what they are.
WSJ investigation: In the past 6 months ICE agents have fired at vehicles 13 times, leading to:

* 8 people shot
* 5 of which were U.S. citizens
* 2 died
* no victims drew a weapon

The playbook: Agents box in a vehicle, block attempts to flee, then fire

Extremely valuable thread from @kenwhite.bsky.social that also shows why there must be multiple responses to this, including legal ones, but also political responses like impeachment of the relevant officials like Noem. Even if not convicted, it imposes costs and keeps it in the political spotlight.
/13 That is why it is utterly foolish to be mad they haven’t charged Jonathan Ross already. Any chance of winning demands meticulous planning. That’s what I hope they do.

Yet another thing we're leaving behind with Woke 1. In Woke 2, fascists that break the law go to prison.
Been thinking about the academic who told me last year that we can't prosecute Stephen Miller for his crimes because carceral liberalism will only push more economically anxious, disaffected young men into the arms of the right. I wonder how his week's been going.

Note: in many places, local law enforcement has contempt for ICE. They aren’t buddies. ICE is often perceived by law enforcement as a JV squad with little training that gets in the way of real law enforcements ability to investigate crimes and keep communities safe.

The Federal Tort Claims Act (and its law enforcement proviso) is such an important statute. Unfortunately, like all other statutes that let you sue the government, judges have systematically worked to undermine it. But it should be expanded along with section 1983 and state analogues.
Immunity? Nope. The federal government Friday agreed to pay $125,000 in damages after a judge found a DHS agent committed a serious assault simply by pointing a gun at a hotel maintenance man who came to the agent’s room to unclog a toilet. This is one of dozens of such incidents.

The payout amount was finalized during a settlement conference Friday after a judge found the officer civilly liable for assault.

U.S. Marshals who captured slaves under the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 were enforcing the law too.

Slavery was eventually abolished*.

(* historical caveats apply)
Continue to think that saying “abolish ICE” without explaining how you’ll enforce the law is a trap, but boosting this
"YouGov has ICE at 39% favorable, 52% unfavorable...But this top line really understates the intensity of public backlash to ICE and its tactics. In February 2025, just 19% of Americans held a strongly unfavorable view of ICE. Today, 40% do."
