The intended coloration of Greek/Roman statues' is an apt metaphor for all of this, given how much of their cultural resentment is rooted in inconvenience that what they had long been taught might be more complicated (if not outright lies)
The decline of right wing cultural production is just due to the fact that they don’t like culture, they like the signifiers of culture, ie “classic sculpture means white people are better.” They don’t like art at all except for this purpose. They don’t even like the nerd stuff they whine about

I know it sounds shitty but I do think it's disingenuous to act as if any Dem is equivalent to the GOP option in harm. Even if some centrist Dems are hypocrites re: Zohran, I'm fine staying true to my values to weigh any choice but what advances the most good (which some may call the "lesser evil").
I find it really incredible that the concept of “vote blue no matter who” is so hard for some to grasp. It doesn’t mean “all Democrats are good.” It means “vote for the Democrat against the Republican.”
