Thank you Stewart Lee for the reminder to vote today in the @nationaltrust.org.uk AGM.
He writes in The Nerve:
"Act now. Or every National Trust property is going to look like the remodelled White House Rose Garden. With cage-fighting".

i wouldn't necessarily call myself the most constitutionally ai-hostile person there is but the specific way they've rolled it out has made me a borderline neo-luddite. "oh we can't do this unless we steal." well now i want your company to burn

We all rely on transport. To work, do the school run, access healthcare and education, see family and friends. But Disabled people are locked out by a concessions system not fit for purpose.

It’s time for change. Write to your MP: https://bit.ly/3VIx95C

We have had many years of leaders promising to invest in "left behind" communities, and reports saying it isn't being felt. So here's another one. Perhaps better to ask why settled cross party consensus hasn't delivered. Because the aim isn't clear. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Step 1. Donald Trump invents threatened new tariff rates on your country based on some combination of the trade balance, vibes, personal grievance, vibes, how much he likes you, vibes, or a Peter Navarro formula so stupid it made Lesotho enemy #1.

Also vibes.

So good to see this, some backbone.
Illinois Gov. Pritzker vows to pursue Trump officials who participate in an illegal National Guard deployment to Chicago:

"If you hurt my people, nothing will stop me - not time or political circumstance - from making sure that you face justice under our constitutional rule of law."

Sigh. Why am I not surprised that the latest use of flags to whip up patriotic hysteria and culture wars is funded and organised by far right criminals? Anyone going along with this and saying "it's not racist" is not paying attention. This kind of patriotism enables bullies to feel virtuous.

Musk has made clear he is not a ‘fit and proper’ person to be given a foothold in our essential services.

Giving him any influence in our energy market is a risk the UK can’t afford to take.
