This is such a no-brainer. The fact that the Labour Party seems no longer able/willing to address child poverty is one of the many reasons why they won't get my vote again. @zackpolanski.bsky.social is far more articulate and honest about inequality.
109 kids are falling into poverty every day because of the two-child limit.

The government must scrap it for all children.

Please share.

If Prince Andrew used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

If Bill Clinton used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

If Donald Trump used Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring, he should go to jail.

That wasn’t so difficult, was it?

Excellent column from Stewart Lee.
In this week’s column for the Nerve, Stewart Lee wonders how all these rightwing astroturfers get on the telly and radio. Doesn’t anyone Google them first? 🤔

The "hard-men" of Gondor were getting their shit kicked in until they were rescued by foreigners and a girl.

The Shire was doing fine until they let a fascist demagogue ("Sharkey" aka Saruman) take over, close the gates, impose a bunch of thug-enforced rules, and despoil nature for profit.

Reform UK copies Trump

Promises to ignore international law
Mass firing of civil servants - which jobs/regulations would go?
Cronies would be hired.
Attack trade unions, employment rights
Attack LGBT rights, anyone who shows solidarity

"Hell is empty and all the devils are here", said Shakespeare.
Reform’s Kruger under fire for warning of ‘LGBT-supporting’ left-wing parties
East Wiltshire MP Danny Kruger said the UK could be led by an ‘appalling Hamas-supporting, LGBT-supporting nationalist party’.

Growing up, I remember lots of sniggering about the tinpot leaders of Africa, well, any notion of our “western superiority” in politics is surely finally eviscerated by the last few years and the client media that offered so many helpful hands

Just brilliant by @thenerve.news - I can just imagine Stewart Lee running around on bypasses snatching flags.

Well done that man.

‘Are the flags that now bedeck our suburbs and estates patriotic or racist?’

In his second weekly column, Stewart Lee looks at the changing significance of England flags over the years

The reason the Right are so invested in the myth that the arts have no value isn’t because the arts don’t generate wealth (they do); it’s that studying the arts teaches people to imagine better ways of judging the value of an idea than by counting how much money it makes…

We were deeply saddened to hear of the recent death of renowned primatologist Jane Goodall, but grateful when we heard that, before she died, she had recorded her last words to share with humanity, in collaboration with Netflix. Her final message is one that deeply resonates with humanist beliefs

Kemi Badenoch blames those crossing borders for our problems. It’s a lie aimed to distract.

The real issue is a system protecting the super-rich while nurses & carers can’t make ends meet. Tax wealth fairly, fund public services properly. This is how we give Britain hope again.

Jenrick could have visited Handsworth to listen to residents – he chose to pass through and make a judgement based on the colour of their skin. Instead of getting to know our nation of neighbours, he chose racism.
