We live in a funny world: just making the most of it, one day at a time. Tweeter. Liberaler. Quiddler. Un buveur d’encre. A recovering frog after slowly cooking in Musks cauldron for too long.

Mt current wish list for @bsky.app new features - when they can find the time:
- draft posts, that work cross device. Let me save tweets and come back to them
- bookmarks
- ability to mute reposts selectively ie per account. Some people post a lot of RTs, but I dont want to mute them entirely

One of the ‘criminals’ exposed by the Epstein emails looks like being the New York Times - criminal in the sense that, for journalists, it knew about materialism stuff, with evidence, that it didn’t report on. Suspect there’s a lot more to come like this

Listening to the Tories castigating the BBC over the Prescot ‘review’ (one guys personal views that was produced with a deliberately narrow remit - -ves only.). That is not a mandate or a comprehensive verdict, despite what Tories claim. #bbcr4today

Dear #bbcr4today - get some AI gear into your studio that shows a big red keyboard alert if the sound of typing is audible in the broadcast. It happens way too often. Seems to be someone in the studio, not guests, usually .

Listening to landlords #bbcr4today its almost like for them the whole point of being a landlord is changing under the new govt Act: instead of tenants being short term keepers of the landlords asset, theyre becoming a long term asset in their own right - and a long term commitment. Gosh. About time.

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

Given the amount of projection republicans have been doing to try to portray the Dems as paedos, just how long will it be before the Republican ‘pizza restaurant’ equivalent is found in the Epstein files. Or is that Epstein Island? I guess it had a posh pizza stove

So, uh, the Jed Rubenfeld referenced here was disciplined by Yale Law for sexually harassing students. He's married to Amy Chua who among other things took to the pages of the NYT to defend Kavanaugh when he was under fire for sexually harassment. Ken Starr, well we know. This is just incredible.

For MAGA Republicans, the Epstein scandal is all about Bill Clinton and powerful Democrats. They are unaware that the singular figure at the center of the scandal, Epstein's "best friend" and the man who introduced him to Melania (who used to work for Epstein), is Donald Trump. Cognitive dissonance.
Will the Trump-Epstein connection ever break through to MAGA?

There is some evidence that at 30-40% "incongruent information", people turn against their candidates.

But below that, doubling-down is strong. Cognitive dissonance is hard for people to handle.
