Unless you're the brain geniuses in Cleveland, and then you craft contracts harder to get out of than a finger trap.

All so you have enough excess cap space to sign a $9 mil swing tackle who is so bad he's a healthy scratch by week 5.
The Jets specifically designed Sauce Gardner's contract to make it easily tradeable. Which underscores a basic reality for all NFL teams -- every player is just a piece of the machine, and the team will replace that piece of the machine whenever it wants.

Darren Mougey: Jets made the Sauce Gardner contract "tradeable"
In June, the Jets made Sauce Gardner the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL.

There’s no way the #Cardinals can go back to Kyler Murray. Jacoby Brissett is clearly not a long term solution but he was able to get the ball to Marvin Harrison Jr. on a regular basis and that seems like a pretty solid baseline requirement for QB play in Arizona.

The NBA and MLB both had a Game 7 for its championship this year. Both games were dramatic. The average viewership numbers were drastically different:

NBA Finals: 16.61 million
World Series: 25.98 million

this is the guy who swore he was going to prove the Pirates were losing money and then his expose consisted of him muttering “they spent it all on analytics” with zero concrete proof

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for him and everyone else involved in the organization.
Kevin Stefanski announced Monday that he's giving up play-calling duties to Browns OC Tommy Rees.

It was awful.

If it is not worse than Jurassic Park III, it’s damn close.

Guys like Freddie and Ohtani and Mookie are also there because the Dodgers were the organization willing to pay workers their fair market value as opposed to most of the rest of the league working as a cartel to depress worker pay!
As a have-not fan, I manage to find a way to hate every sports dynasty, but I don't mind and often like the Dodgers. I don't really know why. Freddie? Ohtani is fun to watch? Mookie helps Nashville youth sports? They seem OK to me.

Seeing some nonsense about the #Browns potentially being buyers at the deadline. Under no circumstance should they be looking to add to their roster. It’s time to move anyone of value excluding rookies.

Huge mistake from a mistake prone franchise
Myles Garrett is 𝘯𝘰𝘵 getting traded, I’m told. Teams have checked in, but as one high-ranking source texted: “He’s a Brown and will remain a Brown.”

“Mutual”
Sources: Dolphins GM Chris Grier is out, a mutual parting.

The GM since 2016, Chris Grier, led a tumultuous and curious offseason with several trades in June and into the summer to remake his roster. The team has not won a playoff game since 2000.

The Dolphins should have fired Mike McDaniel back in January.

With the mini-bye, it isn’t too late to fire him tomorrow. This Dolphins offense shouldn’t be this limited.
