One of the reasons I no longer use this site as a personal social media page is the sheer volume of pro Luigi Mangione stuff that bubbles to the surface whenever he has a court appearance.

My one birthday gift to myself, the cherry red Wilson racquet bag I’ve been wanting for the better part of 25-30 years.

As others have said part of this psychosis is a lack of knowledge how freakishly good D1 college players are compared to the average athlete, never mind pro athletes who are the creme de la creme of D1 (or overseas junior equivalent)
Parents are making increasing emotional and financial investments in youth sports. (One in 9 think their kids are going pro.) It’s a compounding factor in the push to make trans athletes a wedge issue. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
Opinion | Why youth sports is such a potent political target
The emotional and financial investment parents make in young athletes is strong wedge-issue fodder.

I have nothing of substance to add besides the fact that Alex Jones is slowly transforming into 50% of the white guys over 50 in Vegas.
Alex Jones, who spent years ranting about shadowy government mass surveillance technology, is now stanning for Palantir

At least when Beto hung around way too long after his unsuccessful TX Senate campaign you could actually point to him way over performing any recent Dem in a statewide election.

This loser has nothing of use to tell anyone.

The people trying to warn people against potentially committing a federal crime on a place that is certainly being watched by the right wing freaks in power is good, actually

Very, very much beside the point here but he kind of looks like if Nate Silver ate a slightly smaller Nate Silver

This is why I’m so hesitant on America adopting the various automated speed check/red light cameras on a larger scale.

Its not because I have concerns about my own driving habits, I just have no faith that those surveillance tools won’t be used tor the most evil possible ends.

Removed any identifying info bc the original poster genuinely seems like a good person, but this is my absolute least favorite genre of innocuous sports post.

Yeah I’m sure it was hard watching Stetson Bennett go 26-1 & win 2 nattys. These people would die if they had to do 4 weeks of a UH season.

Realized today that my padel peak performance window is 7-9:30 AM on a weekday after an iced coffee & unfortunately nearly every other day meeting this description is one that I work. #PadelSky

Immensely grateful I got to see the Dark Matter songs during the 2024 tour. Wish I’d appreciated what I now consider to be PJ’s best 21st century album more when I actually saw it live.
Thank you all for a great Dark Matter run! 🍾

Probably the White Stripes in the summer of 2003 @ the Verizon Wireless Theatre. Loudest show I’ve ever been to, despite it genuinely only being 2 people.
so we did worst concert experience, what's your best concert experience?

my favourites so far have been gwar (saw em 2-3x before dave brockie died), and pixies (shockingly without kim deal, they were still great despite zero stage presence. they're my fave tho so maybe I'm biased)

abolish ice is the moderate position
When he showed up to an immigration meeting in Memphis, Kasper Eriksen thought he was on the verge of becoming a citizen.

Then ICE arrested the Mississippi father of four, not even giving him a chance to say goodbye to his wife, whisking him away to a prison.

I’ll do it @democrats.org, I even have 10 years/600 episodes of podcast experience. Just give me $350,000 a year and an almost unlimited supply of ketamine and we can make this happen.
NEWS:

Democratic mega-donors are debating plans to spend tens of millions of dollars on a range of influencer plans to "find the liberal Rogan."

We've got pitch decks, investor meetings, and internal docs.

One Democrat has a spreadsheet of 26 different proposals.

This kid is 15, and so has a moral clarity and uprightness that no adult elected official would or could ever have. There aren't really and never have been two sides of this issue, but if it has to be argued as a binary thing I don't see how anything less than this could seem like the side to be on.
this is a letter to the editor from a high school track runner who came in second to a trans girl in a race. her state house rep in maine started talking about it. so she wrote this: www.pressherald.com/2025/05/14/r...
