I see a lot of people speculating about how Alice died and I am asking you to...please not do that. If her family wants to share information about that on their own time, they will, but the speculation and sometimes outright conspiracy theories are actually really upsetting for them to see.

Y'all, the hospital where I had my surgery is running trials to see if GLP-1 medications can help people suffering from long COVID. It's open to any person with documented long COVID who lives in the US.

Please pass it on!

A few weeks ago I zoomed with a group of high school students and their adult mentor to discuss taking social action. I am thrilled to report that this group of 10 students raised $10,000 in two weeks to support their local food pantry. They sent me a photo and it has them all jumping and I tear up.

Canada post is essential in small communities. Couriers don't deliver to PO Boxes. And not everyone gets their bills and mail electronically. Some older people still use paper bills and don't have access to tech. Plus some people don't have wifi - god forbid people have a choice.

I use Canada Post to ship out my prints. Its crucial for my business. Canada Post staff are fantastic when I go in to ship stuff out. Corner store depots are a NIGHTMARE for small businesses. Try going in with 30 packages while people are buying lotto. UPS and Fed Ex triple my costs.

Self care is living in alignment with purpose

Today self care looked like a 20-minute phone call to support a former colleague
It also looked like a four-hour visit in Critical Care with a childhood friend as she received news her mother is experiencing congestive heart failure

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

My heart is heavy

It has been for weeks

My friends are going through it (not the self-absorbed self-induced drama crap)

One had a double mastectomy

Another is going in for life-altering surgery this week

Another’s mother is in Critical Care with no sense of what’s wrong

I pray and pray 🙏🏾

Maybe because it’s not actually “post-covid”, given covid continues to circulate and many places are experience surges at the moment.

No matter how much we *want* it to be over, wishing something doesn’t make it so. But actual layers of protections could make it so…
