Powell then laid out the strategy that the Right would follow in the coming decades, whereby conservative business interests would create and underwrite a "movement" to front its agenda in the media. Under Powell's plan, heavily subsidized "scholars, writers, and thinkers" speaking "for the movement" would press for "balance" and "equal time" to penetrate the media, thereby shaping news coverage, reframing issues, influencing the views of political elites, and changing mass public opinion. These would be the manufactured "intellectuals" referenced by Efron, marketed in the media to "expand the spectrum." They would be housed in new "national organizations" in an effort
"undertaken long term" with "generous financial support." Appended to Powell's original copy of the memo was a column by conservative writer John Chamberlain from the Richmond Times-Dispatch summarizing the findings of Edith Efron from The News Twisters.
While it was well circulated in the business community, the Powell document remained a secret until columnist Jack Anderson wrote about its recommendations for "confrontational politics" in the context of Powell's fitness for the Supreme Court, to which he was nominated shortly after writing the memo and where justices were supposed to be strictly impartial. 2 In the White House, Powell's patron Richard Nixon already had broached the subject of building a privately funded parallel political establishment that could further the conservative ideological cause, and attack his political enemies, while remaining nominally independent of the GOP. According to the diaries of his White House aide H. R. Haldeman, on September 12, 1970, Nixon was "pushing again on [his] project of building OUR establishment in [the] press, business, education, etc." Buchanan had sent Nixon a memo urging him to establish "a conservative counterpoint to Brookings."

Also, please support healthcare workers, who didn’t get the pay rise nurses got last year & are currently taking protected industrial action to finally bring the Health Minister to the table. The EBA expired 7 mths ago and the only offer so far is less than CPI. Shameful.

When this blows over I might have to share some of the emails I’ve received over the days which really make me wonder why I am the one accused of hatred. There is deep unresolved trauma being spewed by some of these people and we cannot consent to living according to their warped reality.

Oh.....
The point is that, while criminal proceedings are on foot, a royal commission can't look at anything to do with the Bondi shootings or the shooters, including why and how they did it, that is it can't touch on the subject that is its sole reason for being established. It will achieve nothing.
