I spent 8 months waiting for an FOI from the NDIA on how they're using AI.

This is what I found.

Machine learning is used in developing draft plans for participants.

Robodebt concerns loom large over the Copilot trial, but staff reported favourably on it.

Duopoly politicians delivering government services to Australians that are either outright criminal on an industrial scale as in Centrelink's Robodebt, or punitive in their delivery and lack a duty of care

Outsourcing any government function is a betrayal of citizens and a function of ideology

#Robodebt never died. It just got rebadged

Public servants have raised alarm at the poor quality in AI content, effects on jobs, and fears about automated decision-making after Robodebt

We had a govt dept full of experts who gave us Robodebt. Those types of elite experts + AI does not fill with confidence.

People aren’t tick boxes, “machine-learning and data-driven approaches often fail “in dealing with complexity and nuance”.
This is dangerous, and will have a detrimental effect on peoples quality of life.
FAILED again @australianlabor.bsky.social
We need Change.

So literally the same as #robodebt. Why did we even bother with the Royal Commission when Labor are just going to do the same shit?

I’ll keep reminding the voters about ScuMo, Abbott, GestaPotatoHead Dutton, Robodebt, etc

I’ll keep the chunts alive the same way I keep the Epstein Files alive

Need to remind the voting public about just how AWFUL the LNP are when they’re in government

Anyway, the people already know…….

bit rusty on the "principles & values Jesus lived by" but astounded tt they now include:
☠️ militarily & politically supporting genocide, scholasticide & ecocide
☠️ cruel, pointless, indefinite detention of asylum seekers
☠️ punitive immiseration & perpetuation of Robodebt on people on income support
At the Christian prayer breakfast this week, Attorney-General Michelle Rowland said that the “principles and values that Jesus lived by underpin the role of Australia’s first law officer” and claimed that “our values and faith” guide lawmakers. Read more: rationalist.com.au/australias-a...

The litmus test for the NACC’s effectiveness above anything anyone says in its defense is the NACC’s failure to investigate the Robodebt Six presented to it on a plate by the RC Catherine Holmes. The NACC Head Brereton refused to investigate the six and used foul methods to ensure it never happened.

Also, if you renege on doing that major thing … (cough) Robodebt (cough) Climate (cough) gambling reform (lengthy coughing fit)

It’s kinda funny that trump has to destroy the constitution to achieve the same ends the duopoly in Australia are achieving without breaking a single law*.

*except the illegal Robodebt for which there were no repercussions.

Robodebt was a mass deception based on a cruel bet: that people on income support would simply give up and pay debts they didn't owe.

Today I tabled a petition from Kath Madgwick and Jenny Miller calling for those responsible to finally be held accountable.

That's incredible. Watching People Vs Robodebt I was in awe of some of the people who clearly knew their stuff and were obviously people who cared. I agree, that this is a place where people applying and dealing with these things are at their most vulnerable.

Australia's RoboDebt all over again, throws the duty to prove Innocence on the disadvantaged while government has all the data and resources.
November 11, 2025 at 8:42 AM
It smacks of Robodebt. Guilty until proven innocent. Stopping welfare based on alleged crimes.

Canberra has learnt nothing from the findings of the Robodebt RC where it was found actual fraud and dishonesty as compared to the perception stirred up by conservative welfare bashers was very very low.

Regardless of which colour tie you wear, if you're in #auspol and you think #Robodebt is going to fade away, or that Murdoch will protect you from the legal & polling outcome for operating a scam system of social security bastardry, there's something you need to know -

You're fucking wrong

If he had any decency he would step down not allowed to make mockery

If govt had any backbone they would kick him out

The public No 1 absolute expectation was NACC would do its job, not knobbled by a career ego.
Robodebt will never be put to bed until public see those accountable held to account
November 7, 2025 at 5:51 AM
Given Labor's track record on seeking to reduce transparency, I don't think they'll be seeking to seek justice for Robodebt.

They just want to continue pretending to take action hoping this will pull the will over the electorate's eyes.
