No trust deed. Billions of tax dollars to be spent without oversight by Nauru - Michael West
The Labor Government's deal with Nauru to resettle unwanted refugees will cost Australian taxpayers billions, spent on who knows what.

Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

Why Housing Affordability in Australia Needs Real Solutions
Labor’s deposit scheme won’t fix housing affordability in Australia. A public housing build program funded through dollar sovereignty could.

Today's ABC / Steve Cannane piece shows just how diabolical Albo is.

He exercises absolute control. He has MPs in fear of speaking up. He appeases lobbyists, rather than doing things for the people.

Our parliamentary system is in tatters if MPs aren't able to be a voice for their constituents.

masterclass in organising here. There is no official or perfect avenue for stopping a dangerous and oppressive law. Jump in. Mobilise. Tell em.
The Social Security and Other Legislation Amendment (Technical Changes No. 2) Bill 2025 failed to pass the Senate this session following a healthy dose of luck and community opposition to last-minute Labor amendments to legislate an extraordinary expansion of police powers.

👇
Huge result for now. Rapid response starting last Thursday to establish a united front of community and civil society organisations. Gonna be much tougher for them to get this through from here 👍

Albanese promised smaller classes for public schools. Where are they?
By Chris Breen Public education is in an unacknowledged crisis. Public schools educated 77% of all students in 1966, it is now just 56% in NSW and falling. Two thirds of the growth in student [...]

Who could have predicted that taxing an addictive product like tobacco so heavily could create an illegal market?

Imagine writing and enforcing a policy that compels people to act criminally due to their addiction?

Our government creating crime.

And regrettably, 62 year old Albanese would claim his younger self to have been idealistic and naive….

He’s now dropping like a bloke in free fall, parachute unused, emptying his pockets of every Labor vision he ever had, in the mistaken belief this will reduce his final impact.

Wrong Anthony.

Society only chose option 1 because they were lied to.

“It’s just a cold”
“Kids are fine”
“Herd immunity”
"Only the vulnerable are at risk"

Repeat it enough times and people believe there’s no danger.

Denial is easy. Prevention takes effort.
