We need a bigger national spotlight on this building raid, fam. Agents dropped from helicopters onto the roof. Citizens and non-citizens alike were dragged from their homes in the night. People who weren't kidnapped during the raid had their belongings seized after the fact. This is madness.

Earlier this month, an out of control driver sped through an Astoria intersection and killed a 70-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, both Queens residents and fathers. The driver also died. We will gather Wednesday at the crash site to honor them and demand safety for Astorians.

Great thread. Personally I would love to have a speed limit for protected #BikeNYC lanes. These lanes should be designed for 15 mph max, and the adjacent streets should be limited to 20 for all vehicles. Any street with a protected bike lane = 20 mph max. City has ability to do this right now.
There is no possible justification for limiting e-bikes to 15mph but not cars.
