Grim news from Germany. A black family, who had previously experienced several incidents of racial harassment, was the victim of a suspected arson attack on Monday. One child is dead, the other is in critical condition. A fundraiser for them is here: www.gofundme.com/f/unterstutz...

Today marks nine years since Jo Cox was assassinated by a far-right extremist, a terrible loss to those who knew and loved her and to politics. Zero lessons were learned though and the far-right continues to be pandered to. With more political assassinations in the US it all feels too familiar.

Looking at the European Union primarily from an economic lense is the original sin of many people in UK.

Even those "pro-EU" with good intentions.
