Consumer organisations have consistently advocated against heating with hydrogen. Why? Because they understand that it would be highly inefficient, costly and impracticable.

My now dated meta-review has come to the same conclusion back in 2024. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

The reason we suddenly stopped hearing about the revolution in Iran is because the regime has enforced a blackout, cutting the country off from the rest of the world.

The reality is that innocent Persians are being massacred by the thousands right now and nobody knows it. 😔

Fun fact. Japan employs falconers at solar farms. Crows attack solar power plants with stones, and the only effective way to keep crows away is to deploy falcons. One trained falcon making 60 attack sorties a day can protect 100,000 solar panels from vengeful crows.

Now, there is a different economy to 40 years ago, one in which technology has brought more openness and fewer manufacturing jobs, and allowed many countries to grow significantly.

That's worth talking about. New rules would probably be useful.

But that's not what the EU and US are doing.

Much of the voting was also more by country than by group line. For instance, almost all of the MEPs from countries rejecting the Mercosur agreement (France, Poland, Hungary etc) voted for referral to the ECJ, and thus for at least delay.

Keir Starmer:

"She'd just read the resignation letter he'd left on the photocopier. What else was she going to do? Correct the typo's & hand it back to him?" 😄
