For new followers, I've been following rocketry and spaceflight for 64 of my 70 years.
I have very conflicted feelings about SpaceX. On one hand, they are doing amazing engineering, and revolutionizing spaceflight. On the other, the owner/CEO is a despicable person.

A hideous, unbelievable insult to our allies, who suffered a full third of the war dead in Afghanistan. And this from a soulless swine who knows everything about using his bone spurs to stay all the way back, entirely off the front lines.

Every day, he shames the United States as a nation.
Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

I mean this sincerely, I like that they set up all the Trump administration's lawlessness in MPLS -- arresting toddlers, claiming they can enter homes, using pepper spray sadistically, etc. -- and then they close out the front page with Smith challenging Trump's lawlessness. Well done.

I only discovered New Grass in the early 90s after they had already disbanded. I had a friend who had introduced me to bluegrass in the early 80s, and I asked him why he never told us about New Grass.
He wrinkled up his face and said "they...they were plugged in!"

The funny thing about this standard MAGA response to protest is that in this case not only is it once again a lie, but the people they’re protesting — immigration officers — are literally paid agitators and chaos agents from out of state.
Emmer: "The people you're seeing in these videos, the vast majority of them I do not believe are from Minnesota. These are organized chaos agents, paid agitators. The vast majority of Minnesotans that are talking to me appreciate that law enforcement has arrived, and they are happy they're there."

It is obvious why the Insurrection Act appeals to Trump: He undoubtedly imagines it as a kind of cheat code that would make him omnipotent and allow him to establish MAGA dictatorship in an instance.

But it is just not true. And it is imperative we push back against such notions of inevitability.

You’re arresting terrified children and using them as bait. Arresting kids getting treatment at doctors’ offices. Blinding protesters. Illegally raiding homes. Making people terrified to leave their homes.

You want to pee in peace?

Quit your fucking job.
Border Patrol agents are very sad that everyone in Minnesota hates them.
