I saw John Wick opening night when everybody thought it was just gonna be a c-tier Taken clone, and feeling the audience slowly lock in and realize the movie was actually great and wind up cheering during the nightclub fight was one of the most electric experiences I’ve ever had at the movies

THE CLANS HEIR IS A TRANS WOMAN (2013) is like Steven Seagal decided to Write/Direct/Star in a love letter to his trans friends, but it looks and feels like every action movie he's made... except Hitoshi Ozawa is way way way way cooler than Seagal.

i feel like i need to say some variation of this to soooook many of you. you are not being vigilant it is not making you more intellectually competent or sharpening your skills. it is making you less curious, less perceptive, it is terrorizing you, it is making you worse as an artist and at living.
Kill the reflexive urge to engage with anything you think is neat by finding out what the worst people you can imagine are saying about it first. Feel what you're feeling and move on with your day.

A while back, I worked at a comic book store five days a week, so I had access to a lot of old Marvel and DC comics. I made these brushes from scanning the comics directly. My brush set has all 64 colors which were possible to print on newspaper at the time.
