We should absolutely do all that we can to prevent toads reaching the Pilbara theconversation.com/cane-toads-a... By @judydunlop.bsky.social and team.
Cane toads are hopping towards the Pilbara, but a water-free containment zone could stop them
Cane toads will reach Broome in the next couple of years. Creating a waterless “containment zone” is the only way to stop them pillaging the Pilbara.

A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

People gave a record amount of money to multiple organizations for the people of Gaza and all this money just sat there for the past 2 years because Israel blocked it. I hope this money gets distributed quickly now so that the people of Gaza don't have to beg anymore

Yesterday Tasmania's Parliament finally passed laws to erase those convictions and offer redress for the harm caused.

This is justice decades overdue.
