Sign the Petition today, we should not set foot in the US whilst people are being murdered in the streets and targeted for being different. We should not have been in Russia or Qatar, and we should not be in Saudi 2034. Let’s start by not participating in 2026
@lewisgoodall.com @mrjamesob.bsky.social are the “British FBI” and “Police Licence” stories the clearest sign yet that Shabana Mahmood is positioning herself for a leadership bid, and additionally then the biggest sign that Starmer may be ousted in the next year?

Victims are told it's not real and they're getting offended for no reason.

But nudification tools are weapons of sexual assault, and the harm they cause is real 👇

Thank you so much to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for inviting me onto his podcast. We talked about critical issues the media & political establishment is ignoring such as the extraordinarily dumb & dangerous UK defence deal with Peter Thiel’s Palantir

It is the source of so many of our evils: the astonishing concentration of wealth in the hands of a very few, and the immense political power that gives them. We cannot solve our problems until we tackle it.
This week's column.

At the root of all our problems stands one travesty: politicians’ surrender to the super-rich | George Monbiot
There are many excuses for failing to tax the ultra-wealthy. The truth is that governments don’t tackle the problem because they don’t want to, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Mark Carney is explaining the new world in a way that is beyond any other leader I've heard speak. Hard to think of more than a handful of politicians with this level of awareness across Europe as a whole.
Mark Carney basically explaining that the US under Trump is destabilising the world and that a new world order for trade is being created

Don't Americans understand how much damage Trump is doing to the international world order, and that it'll take years to repair and rebuild relations of trust?

@mrjamesob.bsky.social I can’t call in as I’m working but the reason people keep voting for the racists and the grifters if because they don’t understand why they’re poorer now than they were “insert x years in”. The media, billionaires, and political figures have muddied the water so much

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Streeting’s “review” along with Mahmood’s immigrant announcements, feel like they’re trying so hard to appease voters they’ll never get, it’s like Reform are partly in power. the lifting of the 2 child benefit did a little to steer back to what Labour used to stand for, but…

@anooshc.bsky.social the podcast with James Schneider this week is the most important you’ve ever done.

How he talks about local political power lasting beyond governments is the best thing I’ve heard in years.

People need to hear this one

I know this is uncomfortable to admit, but there is a small area in England's second city where people are just not integrated with the rest of society. Many of them hold views that arguably go against British values.

Yes, we need to talk about the Tory conference in Manchester.

As well as the fantasy £234 bn, journalists should also be clear Farage's claims most new migrants don't work, and those who do are on low wages, are entirely false.

In fact, 1.8 million recent migrants are on payrolls (others will be self employed).

Racism & oppression don’t frighten me as much as those silent about them. I can no longer count the number of polite changing the topic conversations that I’ve had with genuinely decent folk when I talk about the gravity of what’s happening. I want to ask them: why are you afraid of your own voice?
