Violent pornography is putting young people in danger - that’s why we’re banning it.

I’m delighted the Government have made changes to the Victims Bill following my Amendment 9, which will extend the removal of parental responsibility to serious child sexual abuse offenders who offend against children not in their family.

Thank you to Fair Hearing for your support.

I know that safeguarding victims is at the heart of our Government’s approach to the criminal justice system.

That’s why I have tabled amendments to the Sentencing Bill which would better protect domestic abuse victims.

It was an honour to meet Esther Ghey to support her campaign to ban smartphones in schools.

Our children learn better, teachers’ wellbeing improves and safeguarding concerns dramatically decrease when schools implement a ban.

I have tabled 3 amendments to the Victims and Courts Bill.

Two to end the postcode lottery when it comes to accessing services for victims and those that care for them.

And one to allow courts to strip child sexual abusers of their parental responsibility.
