Done adding things to the Mystery database for the time being. Everything from NES to Dreamcast is on there, as well as arcade (MAME-compatible), and then some stuff after Dreamcast/on PC. Fightcade and Arkadyzja compatibility is on there as well.

This is why I only make competitive multiplayer games because if you're multi-screening while your friend is over playing games with you they will kick you in the junk both in-game and out and you will deserve it.
You wanna know why we're having nag line discourse in 2025? Because developers know we're fighting an attention economy war we'll lose no matter what. Players don't read, have TikTok open next to them, god forbid we are scared you miss something and then blame us for not giving you all the info.

We could use the vast resources of the world to give everyone a higher chance at a long, healthy, conflict-free life so that the end feels less scary or unacceptable but instead we kill our planet to do the video nested in the quote post.
at some point we ought to interrogate the link between the techbro-freak demographic and cowardice in confronting death anxiety. not usually one to go "society has gotten too soft and that's why everyone is weird now" but in this case it feels salient. I think we unlearned how to accept death

This is how coyote time in platformers works. The devs purposely put monsters in the air to walk on after leaving a platform.

Sandman, American Beauty, Rurouni Kenshin. All huge parts of my teenage years, all completely excised from my life now, regardless of if the creator makes money off it or not, and these assholes are dead to me. This isn't difficult (and also shouldn't stop at "is sex pest" but let's focus on that).
"What if one of YOUR favorite politicians/celebrities/etc is on the list?" Did you all not notice how quickly we dropped Neil Gaiman when we found out about the things he did? Do you know how beloved that guy used to be and how loathed he is now? I think that right there should answer your question.

This is super bad for US citizens, especially on the left of the spectrum. Gives this authoritarian administration potentially the power to surveil & go after US citizens on spurious "funding of FTO" grounds. This whole antifa boogeyman is being fully weaponized. So dangerous.
My NSPM-7 coverage has for weeks been met with smug assurances that there's no law for domestic terrorism. Well, the Trump admin just designated Antifa groups as Foreign Terror Orgs - for which there is a law:

So the stars aren't aligning to stream a marathon session this weekend to raise food bank money. Between family stuff and my own lack of energy, it's not happening, and later weekends are busy. Apologies. Donated 50 to Dubuque's pantry and 50 to Davenport's.

Here's hoping I can do one next month.

God the Rayearth Saturn game was so cool. Short and easy, yes, but still cool, and me being like 15 when the game came out over here I had a huge crush on Fuu.

Also I miss when everything had a Mokona or a Ryo-Ohki or a Luna or something.

Again, to every videogame writer who wrote funny emails to read in an immersive sim/etc. where I rolled my eyes and said out loud, "lol like anyone would ever email something this on the nose", again, sorry, I was wrong, life sucks, you nailed it

the biggest lesson from the emails today is that powerful people are so unafraid of consequences for crimes as bad as “raping children” that they will just talk about it openly in emails

the only path to a better society is one where that is no longer true

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Black thinkers & activists have been saying the same thing for more than 150 yrs: the rights, laws, & programs passed by Congress are meaningless if white Americans remain unwilling to enforce them.
After the police chief in Columbia, SC murdered a Black resident in cold blood, an anonymous Black woman wrote to the govt in May 1866: "Our friends in Congress are wasting time & breath, & all the bills they may pass, will do us no good, unless men are sent here that will see these laws enforced."

Streaming my way through Journey mode, see about some multiplayer after. www.twitch.tv/tuesdaynight...

Lumines can't be out today. I got shit to do. Someone lie to me and tell me it's out in a couple weeks. You. Tell me it's got a Thanksgiving release. No I don't care that it doesn't make sense, just do it. Christ, Rebecca (can I call you Rebecca?), I need this from you. Becky. It's urgent. Please.

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?
