I didn’t start today thinking it would be one of those worst days as a pet parent.

The queen of our home is resting in peace.

I caught Mitch McConnell earlier today and tried to ask him about the CDC promoting the lie that vaccines cause autism.

He voted against RFK Jr.'s confirmation.

But as is always the case, McConnell, a polio survivor, refused to answer questions.

Absolutely love how wanting to protect your privacy from LLMs means you get to deal with every tech company’s temper tantrum.

I removed my consent to use my gmail acct to train LLMs and now I’m getting push notifications for every spam email I get!

Starting to think that giving a bunch of sociopathic, violent, immoral thugs a job that they consider a lifetime get out of jail free card was not a smart idea.
An ICE employee was among 16 men arrested after trying to solicit a minor for sex in Bloomington, Minnesota, police say

"When he was arrested, he said, 'I'm ICE, boys,'" Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said during a press conference. "Well, unfortunately for him, we locked him up."

one thing about this is that in the wake of all of this kirk is basically forgotten. he was barely cold in the ground before his allies — before his *wife* — started scheming over what they could take for themselves. a real life parable.
New: Reuters has tallied job losses, suspensions and investigations stemming from the reaction to Charlie Kirk's Sept. 10 assassination. Its findings: More than 600 Americans have been punished, and the figure is likely to be an under-count.

Remember people, things can always be bad in multiple ways!

You’ll find folks not affected by long COVID but affected by the trauma of the mass casualty event, vice versa, those affected by neither, and those impacted by both!
A lot of evidence about how being around trauma impacts education negatively. To look at the virus over the trauma is a mistake, and I say that - again - as someone for whom long covid is reshaping our lives for the much worse.

I cannot begin to properly articulate how upsetting it is to have had people baselessly accuse trans people of being groomers and pedophiles only for it to come out that they were deliberately doing this as part of a project to provide cover to actual groomers and pedophiles in positions of power

Good news: did not spill more than a few drops of my coffee in doing so

It’s hard to think of our thoughts and feelings as part of our physical bodies but they come from our brains, which rely on embodiment, and so the fact that chemical changes impact our state of mind shouldn’t be surprising but it still always feels like a revelation.
Anyway mental health drugs are little tiny pills filled with miracles and I’m always absolutely astonished by how a slight chemical change in my body can completely alter my entire life.
