Since I wrote this in early November the Carney government has admitted they are not on track for 1.5 or 2 degree targets, and said they'd need a "significant change in policy" to get on track, and then promptly signed a pipeline MOU with Alberta and rolled back more climate rules..

Not just immigration, but housing even more so. The Liberal obsession with "the market solves all" has screwed an entire generation of Canadians.
Which is why the Trudeau Liberal increased official immigration targets, more or less. They also badly screwed up on the rest of the immigration file, however, and now we are overcorrecting

* The golbal trend is overwhelming: The world is now investing more $ in clean energy than fossil fuels
