I’ve done the “we just need more democrats” thing. It didn’t work. We had Dem majorities that the party just pissed away. Multiple times. We need better democrats than just more warm neoliberal bodies.
If some of you pushed for more Democrats with half the intensity you invest in whining about Democrats we would be ahead of the game

My question remains: Why are we participating in a farce?
The same is true in Canada. When will the Liberal Party stop obstructing this progressive voting system?
Proportional representation is a key safeguard against authoritarianism that we should adopt to help reconstruct American democracy.
Our system gives center-right voters only the binary choice of center-left vs. far-right, & many choose the latter. PR gives them a 3rd choice of center-right parties

Democrats have yet to accept that Republicans have adopted a parliamentary strategy between Congress and the White House. Instead, the Democratic leadership dream of the restoration of some fantasy bipartisan past.
I know this is a crazy notion but maybe the Democrats could oppose the GOP on all fronts and that includes defending immigrants and the rights of trans people to exist.
