Just a special mention to my dear friend DJ Safari Phil @djsafariphil who has launched his new website for his mobile DJ business...I recommend him if you are planning a special event or just any excuse for a party! He did a party for me a few years ago and it was brilliant!.

Just seen a clip on Facebook of Roland Rat talking about Samantha Fox and one of the comments underneath was "Back when things were fun and normal."

Yes, a puppet rat letching over a 16 year old page three girl on a show that went out early on a Saturday evening. Completely fun and normal!

"Different times"
Deadly earworm jingles, proper British dinners in tins, and milking Arthur Mullard. Now available for all, a new video takes an extensive look at the omnipresent and ludicrously oversexed TV ads of the 1970s.

Sniggering like a child at the advert for the Invictus One from JML because the voiceover man just said "crevice nozzle." I am 47 years old.

Ideal person to put in charge of a nation's health. 10/10, no notes. 👍

Matt is finding it really hard to get any work.

AI has had a devastating impact on his writing jobs. He’s had five clients let him down this year.

If you need the services of a great writer, have a look at his website

30 YEARS AGO TODAY: Michael Barrymore interviews Georgie Ellis, the daughter of the last woman to be hanged in Britain, and she sings a sultry ballad to him. Now read that sentence back to yourself.
Michael Barrymore interviews Georgie Ellis (Ruth Ellis' daughter)
Real car-crash TV, this. From November 1995. It's truly awful in every respect. Georgie Ellis deserved a proper interview, not this horrible disaster.

I remember getting this one Christmas with a free Kid Jensen cassette tape...
Rubik's Magic. The ever so slightly less successful follow-up to Rubik's Cube - a flashy-looking 'designer'-inflected easily breakable highbrow puzzle for sophisticates. Very much a case of style over addictive fiddlability.

For what it's worth as a parent of three teenagers and now carer for my dad with dementia, I am grateful for the ability to work from home some of the time (as part of a hybrid role). For example finally logged off around 8pm, sometimes it's later, depends what life throws at me.
Oh God not the working from home debate again... 🙄
