Before 1983, there was no fun in pubs. Only bitterness and peanuts.

I miss the glory days of ridiculous sheets of stickers on magazines featuring everything from Take That to Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Goronwy Roberts...

I love curling. Also Curly Watts, Colin Curly off of the Quavers; someone from Newcastle saying "coal".

For the last Smash Hits of the 90s, they asked the then-current crop of popstars what they'd like to do in 2000. Most should've said "not get dropped by the label so I have to give tug jobs in the park for a fiver". No such worries for "Beyonci" though... 😬

Who wants to know some mid-range 90s Gladiators' opinions on Shampoo, Erasure and The Grid? Oh....and some Christmas songs that will probably go nowhere.

This is great! I'll have to give it a "spin" on my "prog" next week.

My favourite part of a visit to an otter sanctuary is the bit where the otters stand respectfully in silence for their national anthems.

Need something to listen to? Of course you don't, nobody does. We're all drowning in podcasts.

However this one with me and @benbaker.bsky.social is deep-diving into every episode of 80s sitcom ALF, and 60 episodes in it's going as well as you'd expect....
In this week's ALFsplaining:

⚠️ The gang install a satellite dish!
⚠️ ALF is given the* medal of honor!
⚠️ The Tanners install a peep hole!
⚠️ Willie makes a friend!

It's all happening in 'Hide Away', over at linktr.ee/ALFsplaining

Add "constant and very distracting weird low rumble like a car is parked with the engine on outside but never leaves or endless haptic vibration which is almost certainly low-frequency tinnitus due to mixture of stress and ear issues" to the list, Ken. 😩

The fact they're only trying six episodes of the UK SNL is a terrible idea. The original needed about ten to bed in and that was...you know, the original. Six gives it too much chance to be ditched if it doesnt work immediately. And as its a live variety format no-one has done for decades here...

I dont want to move, this is my home but all they see is development money. I try to face everything in good humour but hate feeling in the way as I'm such a people pleaser. Other than with the people who listen to me on the radio anyway.

Just....ugh.

Sorry to anyone this triggers. Right now I'm in a situation where a new company has bought my home of 19 years and wants me out. I'm still fighting but that feeling of doom someone else can cast over me just by existing is something I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy.
