I cant decide which of these messages from the Leicester Mercury in December 1990 intrigues me the most. And thats the mystery that continues to propel me through this hideous life.

Nothing against Amandaland but why dont they bring back Christmas Night With The Stars of The Funny Side of Christmas? Do loads of 5-8 minute festive specials or sketches. Introduces smaller shows to a big audience with some more standard comedy, get some names in, easy.

The 1997 equivalent of "Amandaland" being the big BBC One Christmas Day sitcom would be "Spark" or "Bloomin' Marvellous".

If there are too many Shreks or Jesuses (or Shrek...Jesus?) on the telly this morning, I'll be live from 10am playing music and saying hello. @noiseboxradio.com

Thanks to everyone who listened to the Christmas play tonight. Another chance tomorrow morning at 9:30am after which I'll be live to the nation for two hours where I'll attempt to be family friendly and pretending the world isnt on fire.

I've written and produced a radio play (and with only minimal help from Charles Dickens)! "A Noisebox Christmas Carol" gets its premiere on Christmas Eve at 8:30pm and I'm very proud of it. The @noiseboxradio.com team have really stepped up and its all very silly indeed. A proper Christmas special.

Co-Op on Christmas Eve playing that seasonal favourite "What About Us?" by t.A.T.u.

And honestly I'm all for it.

Adverts were just inherently unsubtle then I guess. Although why E.T. is running a modelling agency is a tale Spielberg has as yet denied us.

If I am haunted by three spirits tonight can they be Slimer, Audrey Roberts in Rentaghost and the late Harry Secombe? Ta.

Dont have an ounce of festive spirit in me today it seems so hopefully I'll be visited by ghosts tonight. Or become one.

Too late now but I have written a new indie Christmas song that’s not really about Christmas. But it’s got sleigh bells on it.

Welcome to Middle-Aged Teenage Angst with Some Snow on the Logo and over the next hour I'll be spinning you a very special festive party mix which should definitely muffle any banging or drill sounds you might hear from next door. Don't call the police. noiseboxradio.com

"People you chatted most with @ricardoautobahn.co.uk"

And of those words, 93% of them were "ALF". (The other 7 percent is serious threats of violence when he insults bands I like on TOTP.)

Myself and others have worked really hard to put together a special week of shows and specials on @noiseboxradio.com - I even made our own TV Times to hopefully lure you in. Why not turn off the telly and give us a try this Christmas?

Looking at old copies of The Stage and found this casting call for the following year's "Labyrinth". Whilst we know it now as a Jim Henson / Terry Jones / David Bowie's crotch family classic, it doesnt 'alf sound dodgy to modern eyes, doesnt it?
