I say this with utmost respect, but Taylor is an absolute tool for saying this privately or publicly.
I can say on good authority that it takes 7 to 10 years to develop game development skills to “good enough” to produce commercial game content. 7-10 years plus the cost of a university education.

I think that might be part of the problem. The parts of government that worked well did so invisibly, letting people assume that all the noisy bad things were all government was and that they had nothing to lose by unleashing a horde of baboons to tear it all done.

Sometimes I get an idea, think that it has probably done before and decide NOT to Google it 😄
This also applies to cartoons and comics and basically everything. It doesn’t matter if you have a concept of something already out there. If you love it, do it. Your work will have your unique mark on it by virtue of being made by YOU. (Also two cakes.)
Indie Dev discovers the game they're making basically already exists, worried of being deemed a ripoff. Original dev responds.
