I didn't really do a LOT this year other than get pregnant, which isn't really an accomplishment -- I just got really lucky, I think.
I did manage to effectively re-organize my workplace union after our numbers crashed during the WFH Covid period! Our density is back on track, all remotely!

My options tomorrow for my surgery are a full general anaesthetic or an epidural from the nips down, and I know they're gonna try and pressure me into the epidural, but am I insane for wanting the general instead? Neither are unsafe for my baby.

Explaining to the nurses tomorrow that if they keep me overnight, my husband WILL be visiting from 7pm to about 8.30pm regardless of visiting hours because I have to watch Fallout on a laptop from my hospital room like some kind of addict.

I am so fucking over the way games media has been talking about titles and studios from China. The studios & devs I've contracted for have been SO great to work with and a lot more ethical in their workplace manner and culture than the western ones I've worked for. Sinophobia is EXHAUSTING.

Update: Called hospital, they told me to do one of those lil microlax enemas. Cried the whole time but my husband was very brave for me while doing it. It worked. Feeling WAY better.
