Many will describe this as a win for Senate Democrats.

But it is a squander. They have so much leverage, and what they got is very little. ICE and DHS will continue to operate unchanged. How many more will be killed, how many kids kidnapped?

It is a betrayal of the brave people of Minneapolis.
🚨 The Senate has agreed to a deal to vote on 5/6 full appropriations bills and replace the DHS funding measure with a 2-week stopgap bill, per multiple sources. That gives time to negotiate on the Dem demands for ICE and CBP restraints.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Go visit your local library. Claire did. Get a library card. It is magic.
Went to my local library this morning to do a bit of research for my current book project and my goodness such a life-affirming space! There was an adult being taught to read on the next table, children enjoying story time, countless people taking out books. So grateful for our libraries ❤️

Personally I just really love reading.

But I also adore libraries so go to your library this new year. They have all the books, you can request books and they nearly all have a online service for e books these days. #Libraries2026

This could be a new low for a president who brings daily shame to America. I challenge anyone to affirm this vile and sociopathic comment.
Trump posted a very sick and twisted message about the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife.

Trump is obviously a very sick person and a national security threat.

The American people need to vote to remove Republicans who are endangering our country by enabling Trump.

If cutting tariffs on food improves affordability, then isn’t that an admission that raising them in the first place contributed to higher prices?

If you support this decision and profess to follow Christ, then you have some thinking to do. Even when others try to care for the downtrodden, the Trump administration tries to insure that the hungry will starve.

Almost a week without ABC and ESPN. Hmmm. YouTube TV still has an avalanche of live sports. Maybe things are a little better with a little less noise. I certainly have no plans to give Disney any more money. #youtubetv #espn #disney.

If you can, donate to food banks in your area, or make a neighborhood plan to donate and distribute food for people in need

If you’re able, please consider donating to a food bank as SNAP benefits get put on hold. Your local food bank can do a lot of good with even a small donation.

You can't teach U.S. history without "divisive" narratives. Slavery wasn't "unifying." The Japanese incarceration wasn't "unifying." The anti-immigrant Operation Wetback (real name) wasn't "unifying."
It's history's job to tell the truth, not cover up past racism to pave the way for future racism.

Go to the The National Museum of African American History and Culture now before Trump shutters it. It exposes the grave missteps of our country, the beauty of our nation’s culture, and a beacon for how America can become the true city on a hill.
