Ofcom, which enforces the UK's Online Safety Act, says it is aware of "serious concerns" about Grok undressing people including children on X

“We have made urgent contact with X and xAI to understand what steps they have taken to comply with their legal duties to protect users in the UK," it says

You might have missed this but Right to Choose for #ADHD & #Autism is under threat. Several Local Medical Committees (LMCs) and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) have advised GPs to stop accepting new ADHD shared-care agreements or referrals for #Autism.

Many autistic people grow up correcting assumptions, defending intentions, and trying to repair misunderstandings

So yes - we may “over-explain” or “overthink”

Not because we want to…

but because experience taught us to

Morning email, posts and bits trawl. I just seen someone on my LinkedIn celebrating The Good Doctor for it's portrayal of #Autism.

We have a long long way to go.

Here's my philosophical thought on medical AI. A machine might be able to tell you how to fix a body, it might even be better at it than a human in some circumstances.

A machine, especially our current machines, cannot heal. That remains the province of doctors (ideally).

Healing a person, in contrast, requires viewing them as a person and, more importantly, a life embedded in a culture. This is in contrast to understanding the body as an isolated system, disconnected from the things around it. Healing requires context and understanding.

This thread is great @shengokai.blacksky.app and I agree. If you want to see that in the raw light. See how we have treated autism previously. Failing to recognise the whole person, narrowly viewing us and hence we have a life expectancy a significantly chuck lower in every nation.

Follow up to this is 'boss starts running away at sight of you'. I say this from experience...😳

No don't run. Let's just go through that again @thedailytism.com we use to talk!!

I'd say 'spat' underestimated how badly this can go and how united SEND & disabled communities can be there...If it goes wrong. It will go majorly wrong 😳

Would encourage everyone to find the courage to watch this. #CSA thrives in ignorance and silence. It's a critical watch, know I felt seen. Thankful for all the brave men who took part, its know how tough it is to break free from this. It's true bravery. 🙏🙏

Far too frequently, I observe super accomplished women (myself include) unconsciously diminishing their presence in professional contexts... tempering contributions in meetings, understating their expertise in presentations, or hesitating to pursue prominent speaking opportunities at conferences.

There’s going to be a motion of censure at the UN and Starmer is going to have a decision to make.

Watching Starmer on with Laura Kuenssberg he can't dodge condemning this forever. He's a human rights lawyer NOT willing to stating something is clearly against international law.

And—in the UK, authors get paid when you borrow their books from the library 🤗🤗🤗 So go wild!
Personally I just really love reading.

But I also adore libraries so go to your library this new year. They have all the books, you can request books and they nearly all have a online service for e books these days. #Libraries2026

- adult-geared events in art, nature, history, cuisine, etc.
- excursions
- free passes to museums, gardens, etc.
